View Full Version : Virginia Republicans Call for Armed Revolution if Obama Wins in November?

An interesting point in this article.....how Retardlicans have been yelling about how evil Obama is, but in many cases (especially the ignorant hillbilly teabaggers) if you press them to provide specifics, they cannot.

One other thing to consider: It is possible that any sort of militant or armed rebellion scenario is something encouraged through government means...meaning, it is a common tactic of the FBI, CIA, etc. to infiltrate various organizations and encourage them towards extremist activity, so as to cause the Feds to prosecute or otherwise take down said organization.

So any calls to violence by Retardlican candidates could be valid, or could be initiated by Fed agents.

Whatever.

The web page below could be seen as reporting on more of the foam-at-the-mouth, wild-eyed rhetoric by our Cuntservative Christian Fascist brethren....but that could be because it is a LIBERAL website. And so they are going to blow this sort of thing out of proportion to some degree just like their cuzzins on the other side of the aisle do. :hee:

http://www.politicususa.com/virginia-republicans-call-armed-revolution-obama-wins-november.html

The author of the Declaration of Independence is often quoted by opposing groups to support their own agenda, but there are few who accurately apply some of his oft-repeated statements. During the healthcare reform debate, angry teabaggers cited Jefferson’s line that “a little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing,” as proof that revolution against government tyranny was advocated by a Founding Father as an option in 2009, and that sentiment has not diminished three years later heading into a general election. The groups claiming President Obama is a tyrannical leader have never given one example of tyranny, but they, with the GOP’s assistance, have whipped themselves into frenzy and openly called for armed insurrection against the United States government. One may be inclined to excuse talk of rebellion as angry rhetoric from a fringe element in the tea party, but a Virginia Republican Committee newsletter has called for armed revolution if President Obama is re-elected in November.

First, it is important to put Jefferson’s statement that “a little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing” in its proper context. Jefferson was showing support for the French who were rebelling against the wealthy elite and church that was keeping the population poor and hungry. In fact, Jefferson hated the wealthy and their banks, and in the same letter to Edward Carrington wrote that “man is the only animal which devours his own kind, and I can apply no milder term to the general prey of the rich on the poor.”

In the Virginia Republican Committee newsletter, there is nothing to imply that protecting Americans from the “prey of the rich on the poor” is the reason for calling for armed rebellion. According to the newsletter, President Obama, is a “political socialist ideologue unlike anything world history has ever witnessed or recognized,” and that the only option is “armed revolution should we fail with the power of the vote in November:” If one is confused as to what Republicans consider is a “political socialist ideologue,” the newsletter claims President Obama “shuns biblical praise, handicaps economic ability, disrespects the honor of earned military might,” and that under Obama, “the government is out of control, and this opportunity, must not be forsaken for we shall not have any coarse (sic) but armed revolution.”

Republicans calling for armed insurrection against the government is nothing new, and few are apt to forget congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-MN) saying “I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back,” and went on to specifically cite Jefferson’s quote from 1787. Bachmann continued that, “we the people are going to have to fight back hard if we’re not going to lose our country,” and encouraged Americans “to do everything we can to thwart the Democrats at every turn,” and apparently that included armed rebellion.

Another Republican, Sharon Angle, said in a radio interview that it may come to the point that the public would bring down an out-of-control Congress with “Second Amendment remedies.” Angle repeated her warning when she called for “Second Amendment remedies” to deal with the “ever-growing tyrannical U.S. government,” and to replace her election opponent Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Conservative entertainers have spent no small amount of energy demonizing President Obama over the past three years and although their rants may be just publicity stunts, all it takes are a few crazy people with guns to take their tirades to heart and begin shooting. On Friday, country musician Hank Williams Jr. waited until the end of his show to impugn the President for being “a Muslim who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him!” Williams incited the audience to cheer his invective not unlike washed-up rocker Ted Nugent who earned a visit from the Secret Service earlier this year for saying, “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year” insinuating he will take matters into his own hands with gun play if the President wins re-election. At a 2008 concert, Nugent said while holding a gun in each hand, “Hey, Obama, you might wanna suck on one of these, you punk” and extended the threat to now-Secretary of State Clinton saying, ”Hillary, you might wanna ride one of these into the sunset, you worthless bitch.”

Throughout all of the violent rhetoric, there has not been any condemnation by leading Republicans, and after the Virginia Republican Committee newsletter, it is easy to see why. Apparently, they are serious about armed rebellion against the United States government with an African American man as President. In fact, leading Republicans have been complicit in stirring up resentment against President Obama by accusing him of promoting “European-style socialism” and not being an American. Willard Romney and his campaign have used the “not an American” meme to portray the President as “not one of us” and “foreign to American principles.”

All of the threats of armed revolution have as their basis one simple fact; the President is not a white man. Republicans cannot condemn the President’s record of saving the economy, or creating over 4-million jobs despite Republican’s obstruction, or accuse him of being weak on defense, so they portray him as a foreigner who supplanted a “white man” who should be in the White House. The truth is that it does not matter which white man should be president, it just cannot be an African American, and if voters elect President Obama to a second term, they are seriously considering an armed rebellion. Every Republican who has failed to condemn talk of armed revolution is just as guilty as those calling for “second amendment remedies” or imploring their constituents to be “armed and dangerous.” It is likely that Republican leaders are not serious about a civil war or revolution, but their approval is evident in their silence.

The Virginia Republican Committee newsletter was published in March, and the media or Republican leadership have been silent, and regardless if they support the overthrow of the government if the President wins a second term or not, they are guilty of inciting rebellion by allowing their candidates, spokespersons, and members of Congress to openly call for armed rebellion against the government of the United States. Thomas Jefferson did, indeed, say that revolution is sometimes necessary, but only against wealthy bankers “who prey on the poor” and religious leaders who have the full support of every Republican in the United States. If the people were intelligent enough to actually read why Jefferson said rebellion is necessary, they would rise up and send the GOP to the only place they would be secure; counting their dirty money in their offshore tax havens.

Maybe people should stop taking ancient texts by ignorant primitive people living in entirely different circumstances and trying to apply them to the modern world.

For example Jefferson(the slave owner) was understandably completely wrong in his statement above.

- Roughly half of all adult male chimpanzees die through murder or warfare. They have warring tribes much like like primitive humans.
- Ants and termites, of course. There are so many of them on earth that it makes one wonder just who visiting aliens would consider to be the earth's dominate species. And their wars are epic.
- Most fish. Any fish breeder could tell you this, as most species will even eat their own offspring. Betta fish can't even be put together at all.
- Spiders, crabs, and lobsters (they put rubberbands on the claws for a reason).
- Many species of cats, especially lions. The "Lion King" story is actually business as usual among the prides, except without the happy ending.
- On and on.

I know this isn't a popular view among all sorts of Americans but this quasi religion and myth around the 'founding fathers' is not helping you.

If Mittens & Munster "win" (steal is far more likely) the election, there WILL be an armed Revolution.

And that's not me applying to lead the goddamn thing. Just a prediction of what will finally push people off that cliff. The worst of Chimp & Cheney couldn't do it, but full blown Ayn Rand KKKoch Brothers fascism brought on by another stolen election would. And if it didn't, World War III would start anyway, and everyone on Medicare, Social Security or unemployment would be left to die in the streets, so it doesn't matter.

To sum it up in one sentence, if those two bastards are announced as the "winners" of the Election by the corporate media in November, then you better be praying that the Mayans were right.

Because it's all fucking over.. And if the whole planet goes up in flames a month before they can take office, that would be the BEST possible scenario. :(

There's going to be quite a mess regardless who wins. Every single day, the media keeps twisting the screws and have people so fuckin' jacked-up that their's already tension, and the closer we get to November, it will just keep building. Hell, by the time of the debates things will be at a boil.

One side will take it just as personally than the other, and it would be ignorant to be unprepared.

Another Retardlican idiot proclaims we are going to descend into anarchy if the ni**er gets re-elected:

http://www.cnn.com/2012/08/23/us/texas-judge-warning/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

Texas Democrats: Judge who said Obama could trigger civil war should resign

(CNN) -- Texas Democrats are calling for the resignation of a Republican elected county judge who warned this week that the nation could descend into civil war if President Barack Obama is re-elected.

"It's really up to Judge (Tom) Head to do the right thing and resign and stop embarrassing Lubbock County," said Kenny Ketner, who became the county Democratic Party's chief Monday.

"I wish we were getting worldwide attention for something better than a crazy county judge," Ketner told CNN. "But what are you going to do?"

There is no recall process for Head's office in Texas, Ketner said.

The county's Republican Party chief, Carl Tepper, accused the Democrats of "opportunism" and said he called Head and left him a message offering "moral support."

"I don't agree with him, but everyone has their opinion. I can respectfully disagree with him and he can still be an elected official," Tepper said.

While Tepper said he has not heard from state Republican Party chiefs, the Texas Democratic Party did weigh in with a statement.

"This nonsense is what passes for mainstream in today's Republican Party," the statement said. "It's not only ridiculous, it's dangerous. It's crystal clear that Judge Head should resign."

In his remarks this week, Head called for a trained, well-equipped force to battle the United Nations troops that he said Obama would bring in.

The comments by Head, who oversees emergency planning efforts, were broadcast by CNN affiliate KJTV. He made similar remarks on radio station FOX Talk 950.

Saying that as the county's emergency management coordinator he has to "think about the very worst thing that can happen and prepare for that and hope and pray for the best," Head told radio host Jeff Klotzman that he believes "in this political climate and financial climate, what is the very worst thing that could happen right now? Obama gets back in the White House. No. God forbid."

Why are tax hikes politically radioactive?

Referring to unexplained "executive orders" and other documents that Obama and "his minions have filed," Head said, "regardless of whether the Republicans take over the Senate, which I hope they do, he is going to make the United States Congress and he's going to make the Constitution irrelevant. He's got his czars in place that don't answer to anybody."

Obama, Head said, will "try to give the sovereignty of the United States away to the United Nations. What do you think the public's going to do when that happens? We are talking civil unrest, civil disobedience, possibly, possibly civil war. ... I'm not talking just talking riots here and there. I'm talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms, get rid of the dictator. OK, what do you think he is going to do when that happens? He is going to call in the U.N. troops, personnel carriers, tanks and whatever."

Head vowed to personally stand "in front of their personnel carriers and say, 'You're not coming in here.' And I've asked the sheriff. I said, 'Are you going to back me on this?' And he said, 'Yeah, I'm going to back you.' Well, I don't want a bunch of rookies back there who have no training and little equipment. I want seasoned veteran people who are trained that have got equipment. And even then, you know we may have two or three hundred deputies facing maybe a thousand U.N. troops. We may have to call out the militia."

Opinion: Taxmageddon headed our way

Sheriff Kelly Rowe told KJTV there had been no conversation about such a civil war scenario. The two have discussed contingencies for emergency management, he said.

KJTV reported that the warning was linked to taxes. Head "indicates a tax increase is needed to shore up law enforcement to protect us," the station reported, adding that a tax increase is under consideration that "would largely benefit the district attorney and sheriff's offices. But the emphasis is more on salary competitiveness than doomsday scenarios."

Head made his controversial remarks Tuesday.

On Wednesday at a county commissioner meeting, he emphasized that his remarks were about "worst-case scenario in my opinion," and added, "Do I think those are going to happen? Probably not."

County Commissioner Gilbert Flores told KJTV he was "ashamed" of Head's remarks, and told the judge, "I think you better plan to go fishing pretty soon."

Attorney Rod Hobson jokingly put up U.N. flags outside his Lubbock office, KJTV reported. "When I saw the story I thought, once again, Lubbock is going to be the laughingstock of the entire nation," Hobson said. "What makes it so sad is he is our elected county judge, who is in charge of a multimillion-dollar budget. That is scary. It's like the light's on, but no one is home. ... I'd just like to think he's off his meds."

But video from the Wednesday meeting showed at least one citizen supporting him. "Judge Head, thank you, and God bless," the citizen said.

Head did not respond to an e-mail and phone call to his office Thursday morning.

Both Ketner of the county Democratic Party and Tepper of the county Republican Party said they have received many calls from people on both sides of the issue.

While many callers to Ketner have asked if there is any way to boot him from office, some have said they support the judge, Ketner said.

Tepper said he has heard from many Republicans split over the issue. "There's quite a divergent mix of views" within the party, he said. "Some people are very staunch defenders of Judge Head. And some people don't appreciate how he said what he said."

Democrats are pushing for members of the public to show up to a county commission budget meeting Monday morning. "Normally, nobody shows up," Ketner said.

But given the attention Head's remarks are getting, this meeting just might draw a crowd, he said.
