0ne of the top 5, if not more most important people in music in the last 100 years. I would have almost killed to see him. I still listen to him all the time. A shame he was gone to soon. What a waste. I think he was the best ever. The guy could play anything. Happy 70 Jim wherever you are !

I am listening to the Jimi Hendrix Blues LP as I logged on and saw this

"Hear My Train A'Comming" is on now and I don't know where Jimi would've taken his Electric Church .. but he was an epitome of his time .. His legacy solid - the guy had a unique way of playing loose and using his mistakes or oopses in concert as opportunities for a new avenue - his live music is intense, deliberate and yet loose .. simply amazing imho

and I will never tire of hearing "this one is for the girl in the 3rd row in the yellow underwear" on his Concerts LP ;) (though I wish they would re-release that with a uncompressed sound)
