Hi guys. Listening to Coast-to-Coast tonight and Ian mentioned this 17 year old young man. He is dying. This will be his last Christmas. He wrote & recorded a song and put it on YouTube. Not a bad little tune. Better than I could do by far.

Anyways, a movement is beginning to get him to 1,000,000 views. I think it would be great if he sees that before it's his time to go. And since this forums namesake is for another great guy taken too soon by the same enemy, I thought a perfect place to post this. We aren't a huge site, but I figure we are good for several hundred views with the traffic we get. Don't need your money. Just a click.

Some backstory:

http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/zacharysobiech/mystory

Zach was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in November 2009. Since his diagnosis, Zach has endured several surgeries and months of chemo.

At the end of May, 2012 cancer was found in his pelvis & lungs. There are no known effective treatments left.

As Zach fights to live, he remains the same joyful soul he has always been. He still smiles as brightly as he did before cancer - it just means more now.
Background Story

Zach started this journey with pain in his left hip after going for a run in August 2009. We took him to the doctor and then to the physical therapist thinking that it was a hip flexor problem.

On November 13 an MRI revealed a large tumor in the neck of the left femur. A biopsy confirmed that the tumor was osteosarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer most typically found in the long bones of growing teenagers.....Zach fits the bill.

We started with chemo therapy on December 1, 2009. Zach had surgery on February 22, 2010 to remove the tumor and replace his hip. The surgery was a huge success! The tumor was completely dead and contained. In May a spot on Zach's right lung was detected by a ct scan. We hoped it was nothing and that it would go away.

Chemo was completed on July 22, 2010. Our celebrating was
short lived as a follow up ct revealed that the spot on Zach's right lung had grown 4mm. It needed to be removed. On Friday, August 6 Zach had a thoracotomy to remove the nodule. We got the devastating news that it was cancer. A second thoracotomy was done on the left lung which was found to be clear of lesions.

He was cancer-free for 9 months.

At the end of April, 2011 scans revealed 6 new lesions on Zach's lungs. He began a strong, very difficult chemotherapy that left him sick for days On July 5, 2011 he had 5 lesions removed from his right lung. Pathology found that the chemo was not working; the cancer had not died.

We began a different kind of chemo a few weeks later.

A ct scan on September 6 showed no new lesions.

Zach had a thoracotomy on the left lung in September. No cancer was found.

At the end of May, 2012 Zach started having some constant pain in his left hip again. A PET scan was done and revealed his pelvis was loaded with cancer. Radiation was done through June to kill the tumor and stop the pain. It worked - however, given the location of the tumor, the necessary surgery to remove the cancer could not be done. In addition, six new lesions were found in the lungs.

Yet another chemo regimen was started which proved ineffective. By early October, 2012 the lesions had grown and multiplied. Zach has approximately 10 visible lesions in each lung.

He is currently on a new drug the we are hoping will slow the growth of the tumors. He may elect to partake in a Phase 1 study that the U of M is recruiting patients for.

Zach has been told that he likely has only months to live. His response is to embrace every day with hope and joy. Some days are harder than others, but he remains the upbeat and positive soul he has always been

A lot of young men are named Zack. Who was a famous Zack 20 years ago that brought the name into the spotlight? A lot of kids born in the 90's I've noticed are named Jordan either first or middle name. Only Zack I can think of is from Saved by The Bell show.

....It's the same reason that box of Massengill next to her monitor remains unopened. She's afraid that if she uses it, the cat will stop following her around everywhere...

I could see the pain in his moms face as they sat there together. That has to be a nightmare for her. I know the saying that no parent should outlive their children....but having to watch them die slowly in front of your eyes while there is nothing you can do has got to be hell.

Hope he gets a million views.

No, I could REALLY care less.

So this means that you do care. Good for you.

If you were acting like your usual troll-kunt self, and you had a fucking brain and could understand fucking English, you would have posted "I could not care less".

But since you COULD care less, that means you care.

Bitch. :baby:

What the fuck........

It does not matter what the fuck we post about.....DLR, VH, music, movies, and now about some guy who by this time next year is going to be DEAD!

And the fucking kunt has to show up and run it's goddamn fucking mouth! End result is always a derailment of thread into chaos as intended.

Can't have any sort of rational conversation between intelligent adults without the child showing up to fart in our general direction.

Through it's face.

WHAT IN THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT YOU FUCKING GODDAMNABLE KUNT?!?!?!?!?!?

DESPITE ALL THE RAMBUNCTIOUSNESS HERE AT THE ROTH ARMY, SOME OF US DO HAVE A FUCKING HEART, YOU SOULESS, WRETCHED PIECE OF DOGSHIT!

I FEEL SORRY FOR ANYONE WHO EVER GOT WITHIN 100 FEET OF YOU!

YOUR FAMILY DID A REAL PIECE OF WORK, DIDN'T THEY? IF THERE WERE SUCH A THING AS TIME TRAVEL, SOMEONE SHOULD GO BACK IN TIME TO ENSURE YOU WERE NEVER BORN! COUNTLESS THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE WOULD ALL HAVE BETTER LIVES WITHOUT EVER HAVING TO ENCOUNTER YOUR SELFISH, WHINY 2ND-GRADE IDIOCY!

LET ME GUESS....YOUR MOM TOOK IT UP THE ASS DOWN ON SKID-ROW FROM SOME JUNKIE WINO MOTHERFUCKER.....AND THEN 9 MONTHS LATER ONE NIGHT WHILE DRUNK SHE GOT DONE BLOWING SOME GUY AND TOOK A CRAP ON THE SIDEWALK....AND IT WAS ALIVE!
WHAT A WELCOME TO PLANET EARTH FOR KRUSTY THE KUNT!

DO YOU SIT THERE POSTING THESE INANE RANTINGS AND PETULANTLY STUPID TRIBUTES TO YOUR POOR SELF-IMAGE WHILE FINGERING YOURSELF WITH SANDPAPER? IS THAT WHY YOU ARE SUCH A FUCKING KUNT?

IF THERE IS ANYONE THERE IN THE ROOM WITH YOU RIGHT NOW, KRUSTY, HAVE THEM READ THE NEXT LINE:

THE ROTH ARMY REQUESTS YOU LEAN OVER AND SMACK THE FUCK OUT OF THE BITCH NEXT TO YOU! YOU WILL BE DOING THE HUMAN RACE A GREAT SERVICE!

AND IF NOBODY ELSE IS WITH YOU, THEN HIT YOURSELF IN THE FACE A FEW TIMES! IT MIGHT IMPROVE YOUR APPEARANCE, WHILE RESURRECTING THOSE LONG-LOST MEMORIES OF ALL THE TIMES DADDY PLAYED HIDE THE SNAKE IN YOUR ASS!!!! :HEE:

Stoopid bitch....

GO FUCK YOURSELF IN THE ASS WITH A RUSTY FUCKING CHAINSAW!

There. Now I feel better.

Did I sound angry? :hee:

Music is therapy. Might as well go for it and make some music and have a good time with other people. It's beats sitting in the corner of a dark room waiting for the reaper to take you. He's making the most of an unpleasant situation and going out swinging. You have to admire his attitude and that positive attitude showed up in his song.

This kid was in the news recently. Several celebrities made a copy video of his song in post #1 here....and then he passed away last week. But great news! He hit well over a million views! So this kid at least got to feel a whole lot of love at the end and brought a lot of attention to the disease. So good for him and rest in peace. Ya done good in your shortened time here.

RIP Zach

Zach Sobiech Funeral: Congregation Sings "Clouds" in Touching Goodbye

http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/zach-sobiech-funeral-congregation-sings-clouds-in-touching-goodbye-2013245

Zach Sobiech's funeral was held on Thursday, May 23, and hundreds gathered to celebrate his life. After battling osteosarcoma from the age of 14, Sobiech passed away on May 20 at the age of 18. His memory, and mission to help find a cure for childhood cancer, lives on through his inspirational song, "Clouds."

According to the Minnesota newspaper Pioneer Press, 1,200 people attended Sobiech's funeral at the Church of St. Michael in Stillwater, Minn. Outside, the church was decorated with balloons that had Sobiech's "up, up, up" lyrics written on the front.

Clouds" became an instant YouTube success since its December release, and has since reached No. 1 on iTunes. Speaking at his funeral, Rev. Mike Miller said Sobiech "accomplished more in his very short life than many of us ever do, and he became known around the world for the way he took on this illness."

"We're here today to honor a kid who went down fighting and who didn't lose," he said. "Zach was someone who wanted everyone to know, 'You don't have to find out you're dying to start living.'"

Sobiech's good friend and songwriting partner, Samantha "Sammy" Brown," also spoke at his funeral. "He has taught me to see beauty and joy in everything, and although today is very sad, it is also very beautiful," she said. "Because what's more beautiful than a congregation of lovely people celebrating the life of a beautiful young man? Life gave my friend Zach a lot -- but life gave us Zach, and we can always be thankful for that."

The funeral ended with the congregation joining together to sing "Clouds." Sobiech's song and album is available on iTunes. Donations can also be made at childrenscancer.org.

Sobiech also left behind an inspirational 22-minute documentary, My Last Days: Meet Zach Sobiech. In the Justin Baldoni-directed video, he said, "My closure is being able to get my feelings into these songs so they can have something to remember me by or lean on when I'm gone."
