Obama openly talks about redistribution of wealth so he's an open socialist. He seems to cater to the banking and corporate elite so he's not a full blown Marxist but then the banking elite always did deals with the commies under the table. That's why the Koch brothers and Armand Hammer could do oil deals and other business with the soviets during the cold war. Mao was also covertly supported by the Rockefellers and their type of ilk. Behind most commies is an oil or banking fortune. Communism, organized religion, fascism are just tools that are used so a few people can control the masses. It's all they are. I have yet to see a real system where everyone has their fair share.

It's pretty clear Barrack Obama wants to do away with the spending ceiling so he can spend even more. He also wants a large progressive tax. Now the guy is not an idiot so why does he want to do these things. To bust what's left of the private economy and herd everyone to the government. Obama is a big government guy and frankly he wants to systematically ruin the economy. Look at Obamacare. It's not socialized medicine. It's the government forcing people to buy private insurance that is more expensive than ever may I say all the while the government takes over the medical industry which they say is a sixth of the economy. The question here is it incompetence or is there a pattern here? Basically the government is corrupt, it's basically telling the Ameican people your constitutional rights no longer matter we are going to do whatever we want. Meanwhile the real banker crooks are never arrested or thrown in jail but average citizens are arrested and jailed for silly things. It's bigger than Barrack and maybe he has a socialist ideology but who's pulling the stings are the banks. They are above the law and they can do whatever they want. The crooked politicians fall in line including Obama.

There never has been this level of corruption in the federal government ever. Obama has just continued the Bush corruption and added more of his own corruption to it meanwhile the beast gets bigger and bigger and more expensive.

Probably a better classification of Barrack Obama would be a corporatist because that's who he really works for. He may reflect some of the socialist ideals he grew up on and market that to his base in the Democratic party but really, he's just taken the baton from George W. Bush another corporatist spewed a different line of rhetoric but continued the same agenda. So I would say Obama is a socialist in his rhetoric but he's a corporatist in his actions.

The gov't is not "taking over the medical industry", and Obamacare definitely isn't socialism. I do agree it is too much of a boon for insurance co's...but it's a work in progress and eventually there will be an option for low income people to be covered.
