Greetings,

I am no coffee snob. I switched to a Keurig and I usually use the ekobrew containers and pack them with fresh ground coffee.
I tried the k-cups and they don't taste as good as fresh coffee.
I gave up diet cola a few years ago... and only drink water (and hard liquor)
Anyways... to the point.
What do you guys sweeten your coffee with?
I just can't drink it black with no sugar or creamer.
I switched to 1/2 and 1/2 because I noticed my jug of Coffeemate 1st ingredient was high fructose corn syrup.
I currently use Splenda as a sweetner. I tried Stevia, but my taste buds are so used to the overwhelming taste of Splenda that it isn't sweet enough.

What's next? Am I missing anything by not drinking black, unsweetened coffee?
Do I need to quit being such a pussy and think about other things
:)

Breasts,

Enjoying flavor isn't being a pussy.

I get mine with just regular cream & sugar. Occasionally if at Circle K or 7/11 when I make coffee I'll add 1/2 of the little shots of french vanilla or hazelnut for just a hint of the taste. Otherwise it overwhelms the coffee & thats all I taste.

One thing that pisses me off is I like to have coffee at night sometimes. I go to McDonalds & order it and 1/2 the time I get it, it's cold. Fuck, really? if you don't have it fresh, say so. If it's gonna take 120 seconds to brew a new batch, just ask me....I'll be happy to wait. Or don't have it on the all day menu for fucks sake. But stop serving me old cold coffee. nasty fucks.

I drink coffee black and hate anything in it. I can tolerate cream or milk, but have punched people for putting sugar in my coffee...

Most coffee is not very good. The reason you need sweetener or cream is to mask the nastiness of the bad coffee.

I like to grind fresh...once a week even makes a world of difference.

Buy coffee beans from a proper small coffee shop. Best is a small place that may even roast their own beans.

A French press is pretty good for coffee. I personally like espresso with a small amount of steamed milk so I can taste the tasty espresso

In terms of the best pure coffee taste from one of the pod machines...Nespresso kicks all of them to the curb

I used to grind my own, but the grinders don't seem to last. So I just by Starfucks...

Buying a can of Folgers and thinking it will taste good is kind of like buying a can of spam and hoping it will taste like steak when you open it.

Why not buy actual coffee beans that are fresh and grind them for a fresh taste?

local honey. and local fresh milk when I can or I make a cup of 2%with a splash of cream in it.
I sometimes I use brown sugar, molasses, or locally made cane syrup.
Rarely do I use white sugar or powered creamer. but if I do need a creamer that does not need to be frigded I use nido

Keurig peeps. Try the Green Mountain Coffee Dark Magic Extra Bold K-Cups. Not weak or watered down at all. Wanna go ultra fattening and decadent, use heavy whipping cream instead of half & half and 2 table spoons of sugar. This will wake you up and weight you down at the same time.

So I just get Folgers dark stuff...wtf is it...oh..."Gourmet Supreme".....sweeten it with Stevia (no calories, no Aspartame, 100 x sweeter than Sugar), then throw in sugar-free French Vanilla Coffeemate.

I get the crap so I can get a jolt after drinking it. As long as it is sweet enough, and has that vanilla Coffeemate, I am fine with it.
I don't require that when I take a slug of it, the heavens part and a choir of morons descend on a golden chariot.

When I get a coffee from McDonalds it is always hotter than the sun,Every time. The kind of coffee your dad drank when you were little that is far too hot to enjoy and only a leathery man mouth can withstand its heat

As for sweetening I just add a little milk,Or on special occasions Irish it up ;)

A "cafe doppio" (double-shot of expresso) is one of the things I miss about living in Italy....

Knock down one of those and you're definitely ready to start the day...

And no, it's just not the same getting it at Starbucks.....

I mostly just drink Kona coffee or any Hawaiian grown stuff. Nothing better in my opinion. Fresh grind just before brewing is best.

I prefer a single packet of Sugar in the Raw and a little milk added. Half & Half tastes better but pretty high in fat content.

I grind my beans for every pot. Lately Hawaiian has been the bean of choice lately. My son brought me back some Blue Mountain beans from Jamaica. Horrible stuff.

I always start the day with a double shot of expresso, with a little of sugar, no cream or milk. My choice is Segafredo

Here's my 2 cents worth - Cinnamon in black coffee . Good stuff and my doctor says it good for you .

Other than that - French Vanilla capo from the local QwikTrip .

In terms of drinking coffee black, Kona would probably be the smoothest and very tasty
