Elvis was the man, no question about it. EVER.
My favorite song of his is Burning Love. Love that chorus. The best of all.
Great sense of humor too.. The motherfucker still rules. And I'm only a French 35 year old failed musician...

Elivis ??

Sorry E, maybe one of the mods can correct.

I really like Elvis Presley and I like this song a lot. There isn't much I can say about EP that hasn't been said.

I will relay that I had a couple of 18yo girls at the house recently I had the Hawaii concert on the tube. They laughed as I thought they would and then they turned off their laptops and phones and listened. One left room crying uncontrollably after hearing "American Trilogy". She came back and sat with her friend and they cried until the end of the show.

Elvis lives.

Well, they are neat to look at but their mothers are my target.

We made Princess Brownies and I showed them how to make Irish Stew. We put some turkey legs in the smoker and drank Hawaiian Punch. They hang with me because I "don't have any games going".

But their mothers only like me for the hot tub, the jet ski, the sun deck, and the guitars. ( heh)

It was amazing that they left his concert on TV and I had forgotten how Elvis makes women so emotional. He was so well rehearsed for the Hawaii show. And just so Elvis Presley. It shreds women to their core.

I really like Elvis Presley.....

Me too. When I was a youngster in the 70's like around 5-8 I became a HUGE Elvis fan. We had this huge hutch that the top lifted and it had a record player & 8-track inside. I'd play the Elvis stuff all day. I remember when my Dad told me he had died. I was about 7 at the time but they waited 2 years to tell me.

Hound Dog is what pulled me in. Back in the 70's his movies were always on TV. Great times.

I'm making sure my kids are being raised with a thorough knowledge of Elvis (and The Beatles and Van Halen) taking them to tribute acts, giving them my cds to listen to, and watching 'That's The Way It Is' on DVD. They WILL know what good music is before they ultimately choose to listen to today's garbage. They'll be back.

Long live The King!
