Most of these songs turned up on the White Album, with a few exceptions, like "Child of Nature" which Lennon later rewrote as "Jealous Guy" and "Not Guilty" which was recorded but collected dust in a vault until the Anthology releases of 1995.

If EMI/Capitol/Paul/Ringo/the widows had any brains, they would clean this up and put it out officially rather than endless repackaging of the already released stuff.

Ford, ever hear the mono version of the White Album?

It's got some interesting alternate versions and mixes of these tunes.

I've got so much Beatles stuff. I have not EVEN listened to it all.

For example.....a 6-CD deluxe edition of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Includes multi-tracks (4-track) of a few of the song, as well as the mono mix, the stereo mix, and all other songs that were recorded during those sessions, but not included on the original LP, plus a buttload of alternate mixes.

It is insane the amount of Beatles studio stuff there is out there in bootleg world.

Used to have it on vinyl years ago. It was one of those albums I stole from my brother when he was either away at college or living in Australia or whatever. Guess he must have stole it back..

Pretty good documentation of all the discrepancies here (http://www.thebeatleswhitealbum.org/the-album/mono-vs-stereo/) though. Sounds like they must have had entirely different engineers mixing the mono and stereo versions to come up with that many "minor" differences in the end results.

And some of the stuff in the vaults is better than the stuff on the official records, as the Anthology series proved. Though, it's fairly obvious why something like this couldn't be released in 1966.......

The Beatles - much like Hendrix - should be left the fuck alone. studio outtakes, demos, "stripped down" and "alternative takes" tracks should never see the light of day. I've known people who thought The Beatles 'Love' album was clever and in a lot of ways, it was but it sounds more novelty than enjoyable. Something in the translation becomes tarnished and lost when you try to amalgamate modern technology with archaic recording practices. 'Unplugged"? Wow, how MTV! Glad two of them are dead in order they never had to be a part of such a greedy commercialism of their product.

At risk of pissing off, the Kristy. I say most guys can sing this with some amount of ability it is most universal and most guys can say it with some reason.

I don't care who remakes or remodels...can't take away from the original.

But, I have always though Roxy's version is best of that great Lennon tunage.

I don't totally agree with you, but that is what makes the world go around the suckking..with dual ,k's ...make it's special'er.

But, I do agree about the dressing like,... and do you know what is the bad part, huh huh do ya... all those other people everywhere who dress like something else...the nerve of those people.

Everyone shops at the wrong place...and I am sick of it to.

We should all be nak't except for those with the skinn that doesn't fit right.......

There, now that this thread has it's token derailment let's get back on trac...The Beatles were a fine group and wrote many great tunes.

Perhaps, re-issuing things with unreal computer enhancements, is about as important to the world at Yoko commenting on politics, as if we care.

I hate Roxy Music.
I hate Bryan Berky

Leave music to those who know how to make it! (Beatles, Hendrix, Zappa, I know they're dead, so fucking what? We still listen to them. Who listens to Roxy Muzak nowadays?? NO-BODY)

When I hear Vagina FUCKING Plain or Love Is The Drug, I Puke.

I don't like Roxy Music. Plain and simple.

I'm not saying it is SHITE, I'm saying I Don't Like It.

I'm not a "God" or anything of the sort. I'm just a MotherFucking Human Being With His Personal Tastes.

The first music I listened to on a LP,. was, Rubber Soul the kid next doors big brother got it the year it came out I was friends with his little brother ( yes the kid next door) it hit me like amazing and it still is.

In '78 I was trying hard to be a strong guy with my sweetheart on my shoulders during the first tour of Van Halen while my girlfriend showed Roth her hot tits all concert long ..that little sexy slut ...dang I miss her.

I can still feel her hot ass thru those daisy dukes on the back of my next...DAMM I miss her. She is in the catbird seat, I can't see the show.. and DLR and the band get all the titties.

Dedicated boyfriend..I was..lol

Man, I totally understand your point... I really do... That's why I thank you for this post...

clarathecarrot
02-05-2013, 05:26 PM
That is why I have always thought if DLR ever met me in person he would be like, I know you...but from where ...unlike a million other girls he would remember the one on my shoulders and probably would remember me,.... perhaps,.. buy me a beer, although I made sure she was the one that got away...with me..lol.

Music is a personal choice and everyone has ears for this or that I dig your post also.

But, what alot of people don't get is music is timeless when it is great,.. though all music is of the time. Bowie couldn't write Startdust style music now it wouldn't fit.

It is of the time, you can dig it, but it is impossible to dig it like it was, when it was...so I bag on some bands, but it doesn't mean they aren't as great as thier fans think they are,.

And we al reserve the right to say something sucks... and that is always, all good.

Well, not exactly.....

There is a recording of George singing "Get Back", but it's not a Beatles track. He was basically recording a "guide vocal" for singer Doris Troy to use on her version of the song (she was also signed to Apple)

Oh, it was Sir Paul. Heard it loud and clear from my backyard when I got home from work. Only in this shithole city would they have to paper a McCartney show...

FORD
09-15-2013, 12:32 PM
Never heard that vocal track before. But like most of the "isolated tracks" floating around lately, I suspect somebody pulled this off a video game. Probably "Beatles Rock Band" in this case.

http://www.thebeatlesrockband.com/images/home/small/purchase.png

Does give you a whole new appreciation for Abbey Road though, hearing it like that. Maybe some of the best vocals they ever recorded. Not bad at all for a band in the middle of self-destruction.
