As the great George Carlin said, "It's not a near miss, it's a near hit!!".....

Damn! The apocalypse would make for one hell of a birthday present.

It's supposed to pass 17,200 miles away at it's closest point. Given it's size if it did hit earth it wouldn't be catastrophic unless you were within a mile or two of the impact.

Great news, now we can all look forward to a marathon airing of Bruce Willis in that insipid Armageddon movie over the next two weeks on the FX channel. Even worse, Ben Affleck was in it, too.

Maybe this is the first of several NASA press releases that culminate in "OH MY GAWD! WE'RE ALL GOING TO DDIIIIIEEEEE!!!!"

Oh my. We get through all that Mayan Calendar shit and now this. Fuck it. I don't care if I die. Once you don't give a fuck if you die then you don't worry about it and that way you don't die early from illness caused by constant worrying.

The only thing I worry about when it comes to these near miss asteroids is if the asteroid were to strike another object, like another smaller asteroid, and change its trajectory enough to where it's a direct hit on us instead of a miss.

If it should hit... may it hit Justin Bieber

Well, hope it hits the idiots that write those fucking bullshit songs and produce his records. Oh and let's start with the major label he is signed to.
Make it hit them. :hee:
