According to one estimate, since last year the Department of Homeland Security has stockpiled more than 1.6 billion bullets, mainly .40 caliber and 9mm.

DHS also purchased 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles (MRAP).

The Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) recently retrofitted 2,717 of these ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ vehicles for service on the streets of the United States.

Although I’ve seen and read several online blurbs about this vehicle of late, I decided to dig slightly deeper and discover more about the vehicle itself.

The new DHS sanctioned ‘Street Sweeper’ (my own slang due to the gun ports) is built by Navistar Defense (NavistarDefense.com), a division within the Navistar organization. Under the Navistar umbrella are several other companies including International Trucks, IC Bus (they make school buses), Monaco RV (recreational vehicles), WorkHorse (they make chassis), MaxxForce (diesel engines), and Navistar Financial (the money arm of the company).

It's not a "tank", dummy. It's an armored car. This is a tank, or rather these are main battle tanks (MBT's, as opposed to light tanks or medium tanks):

These are armored cars:

Good job recycling the bullshit "million bullet" myth. You forgot the FEMA Camps bullshit, though...

I have a strong feeling that this story, much like the one million bullets contract (over five years for every single Federal agency with a law enforcement or security function making that not really all that many bullets when you factor in marksmanship training) is probably hyped, alarmist bullshit to appeal to uneducated hick dickheads like Elvirus...

Incidentally, this story is recycled old conspiracy conjecture hat with "facts" taken out of context. The story originated almost six months ago on "Prison Planet" and is probably mostly bullshit with most of the 2500-2700 "mine resistant" armored trucks going to the Nat'l Guard or regular military, and probably a few dozen going civilian law enforcement agencies...

Yeah it's creepy, I've seen all kinds of weird shit going on since Obama took office.
He's got drones killing Americans without any warrant or due process and helicopter gunships training in cities all over the United States.

He just signed a law last week (secretly) making it a felony to protest anyone that is guarded by the secret service.

A clear violation of the first amendment .

Fuckin A right something is rotten.

It's also interesting that the Obama Administration has armed drug cartels and does not protect our borders but they order lots of ammo and armored vehicles. You would think Homeland Security would be concerned about having secure borders as a first priority. No it's pretty obvious they want to disarm the public while they arm themselves to the teeth. Read between the lines. This has nothing to do with keeping us safe from so called terrorists. This is building up a police state.

So has the NRA, then...

How do you propose we have absolute security for our borders? LOL You're like a broken record spouting a different line dependent on the meds of the day...

Does anyone read links? Why are dolts taking this silly shit at face-value? Oh yeah! I know... ;)
