Yeah, I'm well aware that the Czech Budweiser is a completely separate beer from the US swill called Budweiser. What I was saying is that the picture Vain posted above of the beer called "Czechvar" was the Czech Budweiser rebranded for the US, and since the label says St. Louis (headquarters of Anheuser-Busch), then ironically enough, the "real" Budweiser is now distributed by the makers of the fake Budweiser, at least within the US.

And even though it's more than likely watered down (as most imported beer is in the US) it probably STILL tastes better than the Anheuser-Busch products.

Just the same though, I'll stick to the microbrews... or even the stuff that old Joe Kennedy produces in his backyard still before I'll drink anything with a St. Louis label on it.

I've had worse. I've never liked the taste of beer period before I tried a San Miguel in the Philippines. It was so fucking hot there regular piss might have tasted good if it was cold enough. My brother used to buy Busch when he wanted to drink so no one else would want one. I haven't had a beer in over a year. There was a place called Red Neck Heaven in Texas I used to enjoy drinking at. Great prices and scantilly clad girls always make me thirsty. I tried a "minnow shot" there too. A shot of whatever with a live minnow swimming in it. The first shot I tried the minnow leaped to his death before I swallowed it. It jumped out when I went to take the shot. I tried it again and got it down but I could feel it wiggling on the way down.

He took a swing at me and I ducked so she got another one upside her head. She was between us in his dad's car. We weren't mad at each other, we were just drunk. She gave me a black eye another time. I was making out with her girlfriend and she sucker punched me. I didn't know she was a dyke before that. Then I barfed on my friends dad's shoes when he opened the back door of the car to see if I was ok when we got home. I still can't stand the taste of wine. I used to drink until I blacked out on a daily basis. Kessler's Whiskey was my drink of choice but I've been known to do a few beer bongs once in awhile. I'm lucky I never got alcohol poisoning. I quit just in time. My former drinking buddy got shot for stealing a burrito when he was drunk a month or so later. He stole a case of beer earlier so the clerk shot him when he went to leave after eating the burrito in the store. He made it home and dropped dead in the doorway from loss of blood.

That´s right, I would like to clarify that for making the money conversion I used the black market US$ , it was around 9.5 pesos for 1US$ at the moment of my post.

There´s a new law here, that bans all citizens and foreigners for purchasing US$ or any foreign currency, as Venezuela.
Let´s say that a tourist arrives here without knowing that. If he changes US$ at the bank, he will receive 6,80 pesos for a dollar, that´s the official and fake rate. Or, if he pays that drink of 95 pesos with a credit card, is 14 US$ due to the official exchange rate.

When leaving the country, he cannot change any pesos left at the bank, he will need to find some dealer to change the money at the black market.

Now, 1 US$ is around 12 pesos at the black market, so that drink will cost around 8US$, if you change your foreign currency at the black market.
Last week, I tried to have a drink at the bar of one of the oldest five stars hotels, all the drinks started at 190 pesos. That is a rip off for unaware tourists, that´s around 27 US$ if they pay with a credit card, and I rip off for us, so we left, and returned to the Sofitel´s Bar, La Bibliotheque.
It´s a classic, very well located and has a very friendly staff, and they didn´t change the drink´s price yet, 95 pesos, 8 US$ now at the black market.

Saturday was Bloody Mary day.. Good shit. The Lauderdale Beach Hilton bar had a sampler. The other is from the W and was delicious! They make their own pickles which are fantastic.

I like a Bloody Mary but never more than one or two and at the beginning.

I like the cucumber idea don't see that too often here. Sometimes they put celery in.

I don't just dislike raw celery it actually really confuses me that many people don't.

Supposedly they went to a "throwback" formula around 2008 actually divined from the brewers who worked there in the 50's and 60's before they grossly cheapened it out in the 70's, so it's not the complete shit we may have drank in high school. I believe at one time they outsold Bud. Even the snobs at Beeradvocate say it's 'not bad for mass produced swill' (paraphrasing) We can't get it here...

Worst Beers Ever: #10 Boxer Lager

Starting off our list is the one and only Boxer Lager. This a lager made by Minhas Brewery in Monroe, Wisconsin. I would like to start off by saying that this will not be Minhas’ only contribution on this list and if some whackadoo ever decided to strap a bomb to his chest and blow the Minhas brewery to Timbuktu, well, I’d probably make a statue to commemorate his bravery and the great service he did the world. The Minhas brewery pumps out some of the shittiest beer I have ever has the displeasure of forcing down my suckhole (I use such unappealing terms because it only makes sense when referring to such an unappealing beverage) and Boxer Lager is no exception. When this product hit the shelves last year, I was gung-ho about buying it. $11.99 for a 36 pack! Who has ever heard of such a deal (or for that matter, a 36 pack of beer) in their life?! Believe you me, there’s a good goddamn reason it’s so much for so little. The first few times I bought it I thought it tasted bad, but I could stomach it and figured that I could acquire a taste for it. I was wrong. The more you drink Boxer Lager the more you begin to despise it. After a month or two I wanted to throw up every time I saw one. And the problem was that everyone seemed to have their phase of it at a different time. I jumped on and drank it right when it came out, but it took some people a while longer to try this intriguing can of shit. So, every time I went out for about a year, someone was without a doubt drinking Boxer. And I would always ask, “Why in God’s name are you drinking that?” to which I usually got a reply along the lines of, “You get 36 for $11.99, I had to give it a try! It’s not THAT bad!” and I always thought to myself, just you wait you naive bastards, you’ll be ready to stab someone in the jaw which a screwdriver if you get offered a Boxer Lager in about 2 months because it is that bad. Also, the 36 pack seems like an awesome idea, you can just buy one case for an entire weekend and maybe still havea a few left over, right? Wrong. By about beer 12 you’re fuckin giving these things away, and the problem even bigger than you not wanting them, is that no one else wants them. You eventually give up and buy something else, and now you’re stuck looking at a fridge with a fridge filled 2-some odd cans of Boxer that NOBODY WANTS. It’s tagline is “Beer of Champions”, which I agree with under the assumption that their idea of a champion is a wife-beating alcoholic whose rage increases every they sip of their beer because they are realizing via that beer just how shitty their life is and that they’ve thrown it all away, just as the brewery that makes their beer has given away all hope of making something palatable. If that is their idea of a champion, someone who is to dead on the inside and drunk to realize that they’re drinking, then yes Boxer is most certainly the beer of them. All in all Boxer is a shitty beer, but the amount of it is what makes it truly awful and undrinkable. Not just how much you get in a 36 pack, but how many stores sell, and how many people are bamboozled into buying it thinking they’re getting deal, when all their getting is beers to fill their fridge with that no one wants. So please Minhas, ENOUGH IS ENOUGHT! Boxer is with out a doubt one of the worst beers I’ve ever had, and deserves the #10 spot to start this list.
