I'm just very uncomfortable with young adults - some of whom could still technically be in High School - being in porn. The idea espoused by the host in video Ford posted - that 18 is the biological age at which men find women attractive and removing 18-20 years olds from porn would have a detrimental effect on the 'quality' of the product - is pretty sick to me. A 40+ guy perving on 18 year olds? It's just weird and unhealthy to me.

At 21, whilst you are still undoubtedly young, you are at least more confident/mature in most cases.

As for porn becoming 'socially unaccaeptable' again, I think that's hard with the internet. It is the availability of it that has changed so much in the last decade. Personally, I think that if you are an adult and you want to watch it that is fine, but there has to be measures in place to prevent minors getting access to it - yes, people under 18 have always seen porn, but not to the extent that they can today.

I am uncomfortable with teens being in porn but half the girls claiming to be 18 are probably in their 20's anyway. The only thing is if you make it illegal for 18 year olds to be in porn, will that not drive it further underground and only increase the "kiddie porn" industry offshore? And to restrict it, you'd have to prosecute adults for showing or seeing people having sex on film they could legally have sex with in real life...

I grew up under hard ass parenting. You knew your were loved but if you were just being a crying brat you got a boot in your ass. If you complained nobody cared and you might get a boot in your ass for that too. If you needed love it was always there. It's called tough love.

Our neighborhood was that way. I think the thing was all the fathers were either World War II or Korea veterans. My dad fought in the Korean war. When he was 18 he went to war. My grandfather got drafted into World War I and spent a year in the trenches. These guys didn't have the luxury of make any decisions when they were 18, Uncle Same said over there. So those great years we enjoyed they didn't have and they had no patience for crying, spoiled kids who said life was tough and they couldn't make a decision. There was no molly cuddling. No sympathy. You couldn't complain and you better damn well be an adult at 18 or else! That's what I grew up under. Very different than what exists today. At 18 I knew I had it good and I knew it was special times. I went for it. I wanted to be an adult. Do you know everything? No, but common sense and street sense goes a long ways. You can have that at 18.
