During a rare day off, I got an idea to peruse the 'net to get some ideas and other peoples perceptions as to what 'stripper music' actually was.
According to NoiseCreep, these are the Top 10 pole-dancing songs of all-time:

10. Girl Money- Kix
9. Unskinny Bop- Poison
8. American Woman- Lenny Kravitz
7. Cherry Pie- Warrant
6. Pour Some Sugar On Me- Def Leppard
5. Bad Girlfriend- Theory Of A Deadman
4. Shakin' Hands- Nickelsack
3. Crazy Bitch- Buckcherry
2. Pornstar Dancing- My Darkest Days
1. Girls, Girls, Girls- Motley Crue

.....I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this. As a side gig on the weekends, I've been a DJ in one of these establishments for the better part of a decade now, and I haven't played half the songs on this list, nor have they ever been requested. Not ONCE!

It got me to thinking "Who makes these fucking ridiculous lists?" and "Have they ever even been in a strip club in the first place?"

Then I thought "Why don't I run this by the Roth Army and let them create a list of their own? It's got to be a helluva lot better than the lists I've seen today"

What songs do you think are good "Stripper Songs"? What songs do you think a gal in six-inch clear heels could bring to life (and change the way you hear that song for the rest of your life)?

Ready?....GO!

Any stripper-song list has to include the Electric Boys' "All Lips & Hips".

I still remember, from what seems like a previous lifetime, seeing my favorite stripper of the time (eary 90's) blowing my mind with a routine to this song.

Where do I start?

Back in the mid 90's we were regulars at the local joint. Every Friday, most Tuesdays and honestly, whenever we were bored. Place has a jukebox, never had a DJ. Heard Machinehead and Comedown by Bush...a LOT. Now we hear those and say "ah, when we were kings..." We'd sit at the stage and call out the number for Drop Dead Legs when a chick was picking songs.

Got probably the best lap dance ever to Skid Row's Quicksand Jesus, but I can't remember what club I was at.

Little nude club out in the sticks had a chick that always played the Lords Of Acid songs Rough Sex and Pussy.

Christie's (used to be Tiffany's) in the Flats still plays Girls Girls Girls, they usually have all the dancers parade down the center staircase onto the stage and into the crowd. Happens a couple times a night.

I saw a stripper dance to 'Tonight' by Ozzy Osbourne.
It was weird.
I was just there for the free lunch buffet... tends to be the time when all the C-listers get a chance to make a buck or two.

Dream On by Aerosmith always seemed to be a fave when I would go to the club. For that slow dance.

Agree with the addition of Ratt - Lay It Down. I think you would have to throw Dance, Dance, Dance in there too. Seems Ratt had a lot of stripper songs.

You could also throw "Way Cool Jr." in there (have seen that used to great effect)... "Body Talk"...

Last time I went it was all rap horrible ultra bass thump underwater dump, sounding crap, I had to leave.

In reality girls can't dance to rap, it is only a rump shake no real time changes for varried dance movement.

I wish these songs listed here were played..the music made me take my money and go last time I went.

I miss the old dollar for juke box mister girl walking around and the girls would play their own song.

Who needs that characature DL S'MOVE, dood going KKKKKKKkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrriiiiistallllll Kristal to the main stage...I guess he needs a job wtf..?

Mississippi Queen by Mountain works well and you would think it doesn't.

This joint I used to goto in the 80's one girl would dance to that no other girls could play that tune or she would unplug the juke box she also wore tan swede stripper outfits only and no other girl could wear that tan colored swede, black leather was fine but she owned the tan swede look, she would beat their ases if they tried.

Those girls can be kinda catty.
