I'm not really certain why I wrote this piece, let alone shared it. I merely hope somebody might enjoy it...CC

Lights please?

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flocks by night, and lo the angel of the Lord came upon them and the glory of the Lord shone round about them, and they were sore afraid, yet the angel said unto them, "You must rock a tad bit harder. For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a savior, tis a really cool fellow, and this shall be a sign unto you. You shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger, and his name is Bon."

Then he fucking died.

Yet he went on to inspire and enrich people's lives, propagate their goals and generally move more folks than you'd imagine.

Nowadays, I no longer have faith in anyone. Yet if Bon Scott was still alive...

Damn great indeed. Awesome vocalist and lyricist. He had a great sense of humor too.

I'll always prefer his period in AC/DC to Jona's, hands down.

Just like Van Halen, Classic AC/DC is the best. Ride on Bon !

So many imitations, all miss their mark... Top 5 Rock Singer of all time...

I think of Bon in the same way I think of Dave: the imperfections make him perfect.

Someone who can do emotion, humour, and has a voice that only someone who had lived far longer than their years could possess.

And just like VH, the Ac/Dc 6 pack - the original studio albums with Bon - set the standards for rock n roll that are damn impossible to beat.

Unfortunately, there's no chance of an ADKOT from Ac/Dc :(

'Let There Be Rock' was the record that hooked me on heavy music. I heard it when I was 9 and it was - literally - a life-changing moment.

Bon = legend.

I always prefer AC/DC with his voice and swagger.

Johnson was good up until 1988 - after that he was unlistenable IMO.

I went to see LET THERE BE ROCK on opening night in 1982......

FUCKING AWESOME!!!

Ah yes. Not the American verisions but the original releases! I always did love the cover art plus the additional tracks that didn't make it to our versions.

"Riff Raff" live in Glasgow '78.
"If you want blood... you've got it!" is one of the motherfuckingly gu-ratest rock 'n' roll records of all times.

... and this is arguably their best studio effort. :)

Powerage might be their best album with Bon. All those songs ended up on If You Want Blood. Could be the best live rock album ever. That shit is the real deal. Riff Raff is smoking ! Rock & Roll Damnation is a great song.

I agree with Keith Richards.....POWERAGE is their GRATEST recording...

front to back.....BRILLIANT!!!

Yeah, Keith Riffman got it right about AC/DC early on.

Cool stuff here - sounds more like a "Soul Stripper" alternate take than the live verson it is supposed to be.

Damn cool pics too!
