I saw & enjoyed 1. Have not seen 2. I think I will see 3 but will most likely wait a week or two for the initial crowds to thin out a little.

I am no raging Superman fan, but there are two things about that movie that make me WTF?:

Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent
Russell Crowe as Jor-El

Never been a big Costner fan, but I did like Crowe in American Gangster.

Didn't like Kevin Spacey in Superman Returns.

The Wolverine comes out this summer, too.

I guess other than Batman I was more of a Marvel comics fan.

I liked all the xmen movies and wish they would do side movies for all the main characters and not just Wolverine, I know financially it won't happen but I found them all to be well made so far. CG graphics have really revived comic book movies.

It kinda told a Tony Stark story of after I wrecked my own lifes work and found myself wanting to hide in the shadows .

The dramas between Stark and Iron Man and self doubt with increased pressure to keep to a image is more than just a comic book fantasy.

Seeing Paul Giamatti as the Rhino next year in Amazing 2 should be interesting. Who'd a thunk both guys from Sideways would move on to being quirky comic book villains. Cash is king.

Had some decent scenes indeed. I just thought the completely empty city shots made it look dull. Hulk flipping Loki like a toy was pretty cool.

No No No!! Don't you all get it it's the interplay of the psychosis of Tony Stark Iron Man and My fucked up existsence.

The car "is" forward momentum and it is parked !!! Ignition OFF door open can't get out can't get out!!,, the GREAT and once POWERFULL IRON MAN is hiding in the shadows behind a woman, meant to direct attention away from his wounds, away from his selfish self pit, self loathing, and yet he hides in the shadows of self pity... but he shows himself, as without a mask, the mask that was his face in the crowd, the mask that he now lays in shame on the ground his enigma of life in the foot well, the shield of his persona..oh the ground DYING!!!!

A man.... not...NOT A MACHINE!!!!!..yet, no longer a man.. somewhere... inbetween somewhere lost ... found..? NOTHING!!! unable to use his great powers to move, sitting in the car, the back seat of LIFE!!!! waiting for life,... to move him...

But, then there is also the boob.

Took my Son to see this movie last night. It had a few bright spots, but overall I was very disappointed.

Well, the plot was ok. But the way they played it out just didn't seem to flow well.

There were good laughs, but there were also times where you were supposed to laugh, and you could hear nothing but crickets in a packed theatre.

It dragged on. It was predictable.

Saw it today ... thought the writing was poorly done. The dialogue was bad. Needed more time with tony as iron man. Also where was the AC/DC? That's a great part of the movie.

Hoping Avengers 2 is as good as the first.

Just seen it , was ok harmless fluff . The bairn liked it .
Liked the mandarin stuff and yeah totally missed the acdc music .
To be honest the story was a bit wtf a couple of decent one liners but no where near enough tony stark being cool .

The end scene was funny, but kind of a let-down as far as their post-credit bits go. I liked it overall, I thought it was cool he DIDN'T have the armor to rely on the whole movie.


Ben Kingsley was excellent as Mandarin, but can honestly say I didn't see that plot twist coming... and who the F was the other dude supposed to be? Looked like Molten Man, but that's a Spider-Man villian...

I hadn't stopped laughing from the one henchman quitting, going "Dude, I just work here, and I hate it, it really sucks.." when the Mandarin thing happened... so fucking funny!
