I've never been a big superman fan, he always seemed a bit cheesy to me plus he's too powerful.

Anyhow it looks like it's going to be the big summer film so we should have a thread.

Blockbuster trailers and features are getting longer and longer and this is no exception...

Never been a big superman fan either , he is to goody two shoes.
The best comic heroes to me are interesting because they have flaws.
Though if I remember right I did love the original couple of movies , the second one where he lost his powers in particular.

The trailer I had seen had the pre requisite spectacular effects in it but the best bit was the Russell Crowe voice over , he had that cool Morgan freeman thing going on.

This movie should be really good. I know the story they used as a basis ,and it's a bit darker than the normal Superman take.I mean if there was a guy that could do what he can,would the Government embrace him and give him free reign to operate ,or would they be very afraid that at some point he's going to just take over,and therefore very much try and figure out how they can contain and control him ....
As far as black superheroes,sure there's plenty...Black Lightning,Cyborg,John Stewart Green lantern,Goliath,Blade,The Falcon,Nick Fury(Ultimate Universe),Black Panther,Luke Cage,Deathlok....and those are just the ones I can name off the top of my head....

There's already been a limey Batman, and that went over okay.

Didn't like Superman Returns, probably because I don't like Kevin Spacey. Not sure what to think of this one, Costner is not one of my favorites either.

One thing I notice having a couple of actor friends over the years - British and Australian actors seemingly have a way easier time dropping their accents and doing American ones believably than their US counterparts... which is kind of odd. Cavill sounds believable so far...

Finally saw this (in IMAX 3D) over the weekend, and was NOT disappointed. Cavill did a great job, Shannon was his usual evil self as Zod, and the action sequences were fantastic. So cool to finally see Superman punch something 30 years later!
