Okay, I understand that this took place in Alabama which is not the most gay-friendly or sex-friendly place in the United States, but COME THE FUCK ON. Are we that scared of nudity and sex that we are willing to make this kid a criminal and a "child molester" because he streaked a football field? First of all, despite that he was naked, he didn't do ANYTHING sexual AT ALL. He didn't fap in front of the crowd or in front of the players, he didn't touch any of the cheerleaders sexually without consent, yet it was considered a "sexual offense" JUST BECAUSE the kid was naked. And the fact that the kid was a male. Believe me, if it was a girl that streaked the field, they would have softened the blow.

Now, I'm not defending what the kid did per-se. I personally believe that he should have been disciplined for what he did. A week of after-school detention comes to mind. Not what that asshole principal did, by threatening to contact authorities, forcing him to register as a sex offender, and essentially ending this kid's future for one stupid thing.

I hope this principal feels really shitty now that his threat drove a FIFTEEN YEAR OLD KID, with his whole life ahead of him to kill himself.

This fucking principal needs to lose his job immediately. Unfortunately, I doubt he can be charged with anything in a criminal court, but I would say the dead kid's family has serious grounds for a civil lawsuit.

Teenagers sometimes do dumb things, and what the kid did was surely dumb. But it didn't make him a goddamn sex offender, and it certainly wasn't anything he should have died for.

Simple concept... running around naked at a public school event is stupid to begin with... illegal, duh... and has nothing to do with morals, puritanism or any other bullshit concepts.

Nudity has it's time and place... But pay attention dumbass... a high school football game is NOT the time or place!!! No one is scared of nudity or sex... football games are just not the place to engage in such activity. It's a violent contact sport... you want your junk covered and protected while on the field.

At 15 that little idiot knew the consequences of running naked at a football game could get his ass arrested. Adding that he was previously bullied and gay... makes his moronic choice even more stupid. He knew damn well he'd be getting a ton of negative attention for doing this. I can speak to this because i was born and raised here. I think the answer is no. I think the punishment would have been the same considering there were likely a lot of young children there (not that there wouldn't be at an NFL or MLB venue in another state). Maybe it has more to do with it happening in the heart of the bible belt.
