Very cool footage. The adrenaline rush must be intense. You have to do the jump without killing yourself or getting hung up and then you have to run and hide. All great until you screw up.

This was on our local news today. A base jump that went bad.

500 feet and lived..wow..Ive gone to bridge day in WV a few times...they base jump off the New River Gorge bridge..800 feet..crazy..you can lean over the rail and watch them fall..talk about a quesy feeling in your stomach.

Yeah, it's hard to believe there is ever a time in Manhattan where there is zero traffic. Hell, Frank Sinatra said some 30 years ago that it was "the city that never sleeps". Maybe with the WTC still under re-construction the streets aren't officially "open" yet?

Exactly. Never base jump right after the bars close. You might get ran over by a drunk trying to get home.

They jumped down in the financial district. That dies down at night. You wouldn't want to try and land at Times Square.
