What a lame-ass return. Same old Jack in the same old plot device. I guess Jack is a wanted felon, a "terrorist" but most of all he is a walking script of tediousness. No surprise we find him in the same situation: on the run, a President in peril with U.S. foreign policy, C.I.A, stiffs, a co-star looking like she's 45 going on 15 and yes, the bad guy always gets away. It's like watching a bad children's story book: watch Jack run, watch Jack shoot, watch Jack get himself out of an otherwise impossible situation, watch Jack come to conclusions that really don't advance the plot. But most of all, watch Jack do it for the money the suits at Fox are throwing Sutherland's way

So Audrey's dad is now the President and he's Ronald Reagan, only shorter. Kept waiting for him to break out the jar of jelly beans. And whoever that asshole is that Audrey is married too..... you just know he's gonna die. That's the one flaw in 24... it was always too easy to tell who was going to get killed off as the season progresses.

It's also good to see Sarah Walker Bartowski back with the CIA, after spending the last two years running around Florida with a serial killer, but where the Hell is Chuck??

Is this show ever starting to become a shit sandwich. Where is the...intensity? The pacing seems so lame and predictable with the most god awful subplots in between. Even the villains seem boring.

So Jack gingerly walks into a US Embassy to look for the plot device of some really cliche and bad writing. Okay. Got that. Somehow, during such chaos, Jack gets the "code key" or what the fuck ever, manages to run from a gaggle of heavily armed US Marines, downloads the key despite having an "encryption" and dodges getting killed by the cluefull yet clueless C.I.A. peroxide blonde. Un-fucking-believable. Meanwhile terrorist mommy seems to be the only likeable character.
