Ya know, it's quite a bit less ghey like that.

It just looks like two dudes acting silly just for larfs.

Or like Donnie going to Wal-Mart.

Cheers! :beers:

For all people slag the VH version of that tune, it is simply miles better than that Jagger / Bowie crap - they did something different with it, at least.

The best version is the original, no doubt - and VH's version even beats the one by the mighty Black Oak Arkansas ...

Didn't care for the Dead's take on it either.

Very few rock bands were able to pull off a disco song without sounding completely ridiculous (the Stones certainly pulled it off with "Miss You", but they were definitely in the minority)

Did you listen to that Dead version? It's frighteningly disco. Couldn't believe it was them the first time I heard it. I suspect Jerry must have been off tripping somewhere in another room, because I can't even hear him on that thing.

Honestly, I didn't...

I'll give it a try when I'm back from Down By the River...;)

I'm hearing it now...

Sucks...

But it's funk, not disco...

It does however lend credence to the fact that I hate the Grateful Dead...

Always have...

Kinda sounds like The Jacksons, sans Michael...

Why would you hate anyone?

Couple tings.

That guitar riffs beats the living hell out of the mini moog or whatever it was they used on Diver Down.

There were a couple of times Ed was singing the chorus without Mike. You rarely get to hear just what his vocal contribution was as he is an octave or two below Mike, who's voice had more punch. Ed sounded all right, though.
