The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA) is a powerful Boston-based lobby group that tries to curb criticism of Israel in U.S. media.

CAMERA is widely regarded as a pro-Israeli lobby group that as put by Journalist and author Robert I. Friedman - "CAMERA, the A.D.L., AIPAC and the rest of the lobby don't want fairness, but bias in their favor. And they are prepared to use McCarthyite tactics, as well as the power and money of pro-Israel PACs, to get whatever Israel wants."

I'm sure they had a hey day with the Jimmy Savile scandal. I use to watch the BBC a lot. Our news had become show business and I liked the BBC because they just read the news instead of showboating. Back when news was more neutral before it got split into propaganda channels like Fox News and MSNBC.

Also organisations fuck up, what is important is how they react and the BBC have made countless changes and checks into everything these days, far too many IMHO.

I have no personal interest in them and don't even know anyone that works there. I defend the BBC because I look around and we don't seem to have much else that isn't tainted by big business interests.

The reason people all over the world like Top Gear is that they can say what they want without being told 'Hey FIAT just bought commercials from us so don't say anything negative about the new car.' The same goes for news.

Also we have a billion talking heads with the internet but not many people that actually go and get the original content.
