So I was scanning the illegal bootleg streams on a fresh XBMC installation this morning, and stopped at BBC News for a few minutes, just in time to hear the story of a Conservative MP who has just defected to something called UKIP, which apparently means "UK Independence Party".

So this guy starts his little speech explaining his actions, and I start to realize how familiar this sounds. Here's the highlights....

"I hate taxes".

"I hate regulations."

"We want our country back".

Geezus.... where I have I heard all of that before. And further resarch has revealed that these UKIPpers are climate change deniers, and they want to replace the national health system with vouchers!!!

Holy fuck, it's the Koch Brothers UK franchise operation :headlights:

Ironically enough, the man's name is "Reckless". Seems appropriate, given his decision.

UKIP are the party for the lowest common denominator , the send them back where they come from brigade .
Its little rich tories playing on the fears of the drinking class.

Their leader Farge is a sleezy odorous toad of a man , an ambulance chaser at best , at worst the tipping point in British politics where each party tries to out right wing the other :(

I was watching an interview with Evelyn Rothschild on CNBC and he was praising Margaret Thatcher. Sounds like his family benefitted immensely from her actions.

Well, of course he did. Maggie started all this extremist tax cuts for the rich tax dodgers bullshit even before Reagan started reading BCE prepared speeches.

Our teabaggers are doing well just now because of a disaffection with mainstream politics, polls are CON 32%, LAB 34%, LDEM 7%, UKIP 17%

That may not do them that much good at an election though as they could end up just coming second and third all over the place and not winning much.

On the other hand the election could well end up being close and the worry is that they have the balance of power. The problem is that we have an unpopular Conservative government which is in coalition with the Liberals (LDEM) whose vote has completely collapsed as a result. The Labour Party is going to lose a bunch of seats in Scotland and has found itself a complete muppet of leader who can't even eat a sandwich without making a dick of himself. :)

I don't think that UKIP will do very well in next year's election. They may have done well in the European election, but a general election is a different beast.

Taxes on the federal level are a bit of a joke. They are important at the local level. Without property taxes, the county and city are in deep shit. They can't print money to run themselves with. At the federal level the government has an open credit line with a central bank that can issue money from nothing. They really don't need tax revenue if you think about it. They are giving the public absolutely nothing but taking their time and labor in return. It's more about keeping the public under control than it is about collecting an asset to run things with. In fact, the money needed is just issued. The Federal Reserve might say they want taxes to pay interest on the debt but they are just going to issue new money without subtracting the tax revenue so they can run up more interest.

The end game really is taking the physical assets. They want the country to default so the more debt the better. You just need the political arm to be able to use more violence than the opposition to take the real wealth and that takes time. So you play the paper games until you get the arms and people in place. Why do you think they are arming every agency to the teeth and bringing in foreigners? It's about a physical takeover. The debt is a man made joke. Violence is the real gold standard.

You're starting to slip. It took you a whole 9 posts to get in a BCE comment.
