A prominent gay rights activist charged last week with sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy is a strong supporter of President Obama who has visited the White House more than a half-dozen times in the past two years, visitor logs show.

Terrence P. Bean, 66, who raised more than a half-million dollars for Mr. Obama’s re-election campaign in 2012, last visited the White House on May 30 when he met with the president, first lady Michelle Obama and political adviser David Simas.

Mr. Bean has been photographed over the years with the Obamas and other prominent Democrats, and has been a guest of the president aboard Air Force One. At a 2009 Human Rights Campaign dinner, the president called Mr. Bean a “great friend and supporter.”

While Buchanan may have been asexual or celibate, there are many indicators that suggest he was homosexual. The argument has been put forward by Shelley Ross, biographer Jean Baker, sociologist James W. Loewen, Robert P. Watson, and historian John Howard.

A source of this interest has been Buchanan's close and intimate relationship with William Rufus King (who became Vice President under Franklin Pierce). The two men lived together in a Washington boardinghouse for 10 years from 1834 until King's departure for France in 1844, after which point they never again shared a residence. King referred to the relationship as a "communion", and the two attended social functions together. Contemporaries also noted the closeness. Andrew Jackson called them "Miss Nancy" and "Aunt Fancy" (the former being a 19th-century euphemism for an effeminate man), while Aaron V. Brown referred to King as Buchanan's "better half". James W. The best times we, the 3 of us now, spend together watching bootleg Van Halen concerts, old F1 races, and dancing at our favorite local hang out caused me to reflect recently.

I’ve lost more than one wife due to drinking.

No kids, I lost 4 houses, a majorly nice boat, 3 dogs, more friends than I can name, 6 jobs, a farm, part ownership in a marina, 3 Seadoos, a Corvette and A Ferrari, my racecar, my season tickets to a Colts suite, season VIP tix at Riverbend Cincy, and 2 rental properties .. all due to drinking.
