I really enjoyed American Sniper and Gone Girl. Never really got into watching the Oscars though.

Yeah Gone Girl was really good, haven't seen American Sniper yet - it's split people by being too jingoistic.

We tried to watch Selma on Friday and got bored halfway through and switched it off, does that make us racists? :)

Oprah being in it didn't help, I am not a fan. Whiplash and Birdman were great I recommend both.

The two British biopics The Imitation Game and The Theory of Everything are very good but not amazing.

I hope Citizenfour wins best documentary, it's an important film about Snowdon that everyone should watch.

No more M&M's or insurance commercials for him, his price just went up!

Birdman won cinematography quite rightly.

Super clever movie whereby it looks as though the whole film was just done in one take.

Birdman wins?

Cool. The last 10 seconds annoyed me but apart from that it was excellent and my favorite out of the 7/8 I had seen.

Howard Stern has been ranting against Birdman for weeks. He's gonna be pissed!

Is the Hollywood self-suck fest over? I did not watch, therefore, I do not care who won what about what.

It can get problematic.

Arquette in her acceptance speech complained about pay inequality with actresses getting paid far less than male actors.

I think we would all support that but when you look at the figures in 2013-14 the top 10 men averaged earnings of $40 million while the women only averaged $20 million.

I think most of us that point think 'WTF forget the asshole guys, you are still getting paid $500k a week for playing fucking dress up?'

I didn't watch it either. Zero interest. I watched the UFC fights instead. The only nominated movie I've seen so far is American Sniper. I'll probably watch Birdman and the one with the dude from Spiderman.

Why is the show 3-1/2 hours? Don't people only care about 5 categories?
