HP used to be a great company. They made good products and they were good to work for. That lasted as long as Dave Packard held controlling shares in the company. When Mr. Packard passed away his shares were sold and HP became owned by the street. Carley Forina came in and all she did was make a bad situation worse by merging HP with Compaq. HP should have dumped it's computer division there was no money in it. Now as you can see HP is the brand name no sane person in a the computer market would buy. Carly did have the right idea the future money was going to be in portable devices but she did nothing to actually develop her vision into anything. She left after being paid a fortune to ruin the company even more and then a bigger disaster named Mark Hurd came in and he was the final straw to inspire what was left of HP's talented pool of employees to jump ship and work for someone else.
