If you're talking about the clique you should have taken the reigns yourself when they were offered to you if you felt that way. Personally I don't think the Army's dead at all. I found this site back in 2007 trying to find out more info about Roth rejoining VH. I'm sure that added a few posts. Everyone was hoping for a new album but they got ADKOT instead. They wanted a decent live album fom CVH and got Live In Tokyo instead. If anything's killing the Army it's Roth and/or Van Halen.

Never proclaimed myself a "bad ass". Lurked for at least a year before posting. Once I posted - against the grain of the group-blue-think of the era - I was insulted in a variety of ways. The pattern was consistent... always the same group patting themselves on the back for "owning" another member. Please keep in mind that the name calling, thread stalking, etc. was initiated by them. My sin? I called someone a miserable home-wrecker... someone who admitted to enjoying screwing married men and the fallout that ensues afterwards. For that I was occasionally chased around threads (many others were flat-out stalked - "bang" a personal attack after every post)... bar mogul would usually start, guitar hero would parrot behind, and so it went.

And you still see the thread stalk by one of them every now and again.

Generally, the argument for why it was taking place seemed to be rooted in "history" at The Army. Someone did something years ago, so it remained fair game forever. If that's the logic to be used, then maybe the perception of newer members could be considered the least biased? For what I saw throughout 2012 and the ensuing meltdown, the Indigo Boys spent an inordinate amount of time bashing people. Not referring to the nonsense of "moving threads, changing thread names, mod room, etc."... they acted like dicks towards other people for no other reason than I guess to virtual-high-five via PM after their little witticisms were typed.

And with that comes karma, which is both a bitch and not necessarily equal in it's response to past actions.

It should all be put in the rear view. Many here seem to have done so. Others have shown they can't.

Or even medical repositories in this state. So if you buy a chocolate bar, any one piece of it should have the exact same concentration of THC as any other piece of the same bar.

So far the most controversial thing related to edibles up here is that a carbonated beverage company was having issues with their bottles exploding in the warehouse before they could roll out the product line to the retail shops. Apparently there must have been some odd chemical reaction in the coffee flavored beverages, because those seemed to have disappeared from the product line, while the various fruit flavored beverages are still available,,,,

The problem here is that there was a perception that moderators shouldn't fight with non moderators as that was unfair. If they are doing it without resorting to using their limited powers then there should be no problem. I am really glad I missed most of that chapter a few years ago. I do know one the posters no longer here in the real world, Envy, and she is actually a nice person, I missed how she pissed off so many here and guess that is for the better.

For the record Kristy actually did say something positive a few years back about me so she does sometimes. Granted this year she gives me shit for my job in cannabis, being rich, hating the homeless, killing puppies, punching babies etc... for the most part it just comes off as silly do to the actual real world truths of my journey.
That being said she is like many here in that she is passionate, more intelligent than most typical posters, abrasive, and hates to lose of feel like someone got the best of her. That applies to probably almost all here in varying degrees and combinations.
Try to keep that in mind when sorting past crimes and who did what. You are here still trying to make a point for a reason.

As bad as crap may get at times here you will still likely have a more intelligent albeit foul mouthed dialogue here than you will at most places. Some row their own boat others cling/suckle to the ones who have authority in a attempted hero worship bachstage pass to the show. they are generally know as ,yes men..

That is related to the way the, main cunt mods here would separate themselves from -The RA- members by visualizing themselves as "elitist'ly different" and who's opinions were of a more important class.

There was also a hidden forum not easily accessible by members... were posts and threads were moved to thus perpetuating the "myth " that they never deleted posts..they were still here just inaccessible by non-mods.. removed from the forums they were written into.

Frequently also the mods would delete or move a thread that was perhaps of interest to a singular mod and this mod would then write and link to press content... essentially establishing the same topic and/or content but presented as if originated by that mod.

I can understand the neediness of that mod the super ego esteem issues he must face in his life long quest for respect.

I remember logging in here everyday and there being thousands of new posts.

There are a number of reasons for the decline but ironically I agree this was a big part. For years this was the anti Van Hagar site, when that disappeared then people turned on each other. We went from having Roth solo, Van Hagar and Van Halen to talk about to just an inactive Van Halen.

A few years ago Von and I would have been working and funding a major revamp of the site but these days it's enough getting the time and justification to keep things ticking over.

I also took time to explain why I did it.

I realize I'm up there as a scapegoat and always knew I would be but the people I granted amnesty to had all been banned in the couple of months previous to me taking over which is pretty short term in the history of a site going back 16 years. A couple of people I let back in ended up being banned again but the rest have all stuck to a stricter version of the original rules.

It seemed to me that if you want to have good arguments on the site being a mod wasn't helpful to either side. The alternate/traditional view that people who are moderators have more invested in the site so post more and more posts generate more posts. You tell someone to look after the music forum and they are inspired to make lots of threads about other bands and so the site thrives.

Of course it is. Nobody knows about the behind the scenes, 18 hour days the staff had to deal with leading up to the NY gig, nor the editing needed to wipe out the posts of the album itself, which amongst themselves could have fucked us royally, and legally. Dealing with the incoming info, from various sources both legitimate, sponsored and not.
