Michael Moore: 5 reasons Trump will be president

http://thehill.com/sites/default/files/styles/article_full/public/blogs/moore-trump_091015getty.jpg?itok=r1cv1tve

Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore said he expects Donald Trump to be elected president and listed five reasons why the GOP nominee will win in November.

"This wretched, ignorant, dangerous part-time clown and full time sociopath is going to be our next president. President Trump. Go ahead and say the words, ‘cause you’ll be saying them for the next four years: 'PRESIDENT TRUMP,'" he wrote on his website.

Moore said people need to face the fact that Trump will be the next president.

He said Trump would likely focus on four blue states in the Rust Belt: Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The four states have each elected a Republican governor since 2010, and Trump is polling ahead of Democrat Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania and tied with her in Ohio.

"Trump is going to hammer Clinton on this and her support of TPP and other trade policies that have royally screwed the people of these four states," he wrote, referencing the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

He said the citizens of those states were "broken, depressed, struggling."

His called his second reason "The Last Stand of the Angry White Man."

"Our male-dominated, 240-year run of the USA is coming to an end. A woman is about to take over! How did this happen?! On our watch! There were warning signs, but we ignored them," he wrote.

He said this gives men the sense that the "power has slipped out of their hands, that their way of doing things is no longer how things are done."

His also said that Clinton is viewed as dishonest and untrustworthy, making it more difficult for her to get elected.

"The enthusiasm just isn’t there. And because this election is going to come down to just one thing — who drags the most people out of the house and gets them to the polls — Trump right now is in the catbird seat," he wrote.

Moore then focused on former supporters of Bernie Sanders. He predicted some Sanders supporters would reluctantly vote for Clinton but others would either stay home on Election Day or vote for a third party candidate.

Moore said the last reason Trump would win is that millions of people would vote for him "just because they can."

"Just because it will upset the apple cart and make mommy and daddy mad," he wrote.

The sickest irony of all is that people vote for Drumpf because he CLAIMS to oppose SHAFTA, and then get stuck with Pence - 100% Koch puppet - as Darth Cheney 2.0, and he definitely will NOT be opposed to SHAFTA.

There were two candidates in this race actually opposed to SHAFTA. There now is only one. And her name is not Trump. Nor is it Hillary.

Jill whatever the fuck her name is is in the race but she's driving a Prius while Hillary and Donald are driving Hellcats. One of the Hellcats will break traction off the line and fall behind but the Prius will still end up sucking hind tit.

You only THINK she's driving a Prius. But if it turns out she's driving a Tesla Roadster, it's a whole different race, isn't it?

Gary Johnson?

He's polling 11% and needs 15%, I guess he has a chance.

I was going to say maybe if Trump said something really stupid but he's already done that so many times and people choose to ignore it.

Sadly, it's the economic and trade issues where Johnson goes VERY wrong. He - like his fellow former Libertarian candidate David Koch (and his brother Chuckles) think that the "best" possible outcome of SHAFTA is that the wages in the US, the UK, and other "first world" nations are brought DOWN to the levels of the third world country, and that the entire planet is returned to the days of the 1% ruling class and everyone else living in total poverty, with nothing in between.

It's the typical Ayn Rand dystopian fantasy, where the ultra rich are the "makers" (even the inheritance leeches who never MADE anything, as was the case with the main characters in Atlas Shrugged) and the rest of us are the "takers" who deserve nothing but the scraps the rich choose to allow us. :puke:

Ayn Rand - a philosophy for people that worry that humans aren't selfish enough.

The Libertarian manifesto is very clear though -

Abolish all trade barriers and trade agreements

Subsidies, tariffs and quotas serve to give special treatment to special interests. These measures reduce the understanding among different peoples. We support abolition of trade barriers and government-sponsored export-promotion programs, as well as the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. Court of International Trade. Concurrent shall be the complete withdrawal from all trade agreements including the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade and the North American Free Trade Agreement.

You'll notice that they're also calling for abolition of tarriffs. Basically it's like any other Libertarian policy. To make a sports analogy, they want the referees completely removed from the field, and the richest players being able to afford the best equipment, so they can shitstomp all the other players into the mud, and when that isn't enough, they'll mount the goal posts on wheels, so they only have to go 10 yards for a touchdown, and then move them back when the other team has the ball (assuming they ever get it again)

If all they wanted to do was kill NAFTA (and all it's sequels) and prevent SHAFTA, Johnson might be worth the risk.

Listening to Johnson in interviews he does seem plausible. His party has some lunatics in it but in the US system that need not be a problem.

Plus when I look at those people in those ridiculous costumes at the RNC that puts the nuts in context.

I guess that's one of those things that is less weird if you are American.

Did I not tell FORD weeks ago, to get used to saying that, because it's going to happen. FACT!

Like Brexit it may end up being a terrible advert for democracy...

It's like some weird masochistic thing 40% of the US voters have got into - hurt us, despise us, defecate on us...

I genuinely think that the main reason is the same as the one that made the Brexit vote happen, his last point.

It reminds me of watching CNN with their contributors making predictions on the election with nearly everyone saying sHillary will win decisively if not in an Electoral landslide. Then of course you get one of the Young Turks douche who obviously loves Sanders and starts making predictions on how Trump with win because the country is so angry. It's just sour grapes nonsense at this point. Trump is melting down in grand fashion and Clinton is getting into double digits on her lead...

Michael Moore movies seem to be going seriously downhill for the last decade, each one worse than the next since Farenheit 9-11.

The last one 'Where to Invade Next' seemed to be aimed at very open minded Americans(and no one else) who knew nothing at all about the rest of the world.

Is that even a thing in this day in age?

Also the humor seems to have gone.
