That guitar would have been a good edition to the instruments the construction workers played on some of the episodes of Home Improvement. I gotta admit I kept thinking he was gonna break into some Dueling Banjos but he never did.

I was waiting for something to happen too, other than "just" the riff. But it's nicely played anyway.

Reminds me of French band Les VRP (The Sales Reps), whose "bass player" used a string along a broomstick stuck in a bucket:
