Some people think that Paul was being a misogynist pig when he wrote that. I think it was really more of a case of JC giving him a future vision of this dumb woman's attempt at preaching, and from that, Paul decided it wasn't a good idea.

A slight flaw in this woman's plan is that Israelis are surrounded by oil rich arabs and so far there don't seem to be a lot of jews converting to islam. :)
