If the NY Times is finding points of agreement in the repub healthcare plan; it's over.

We're on the path now to single payer and public socialized medicine. There will be private medicine for a time but that will pass with time.

Just a few facts for anyone that can understand them.

fact. 5 percent of Americans generate more than 50 percent of health care expenses.

So, IMO, patients with pre-existing conditions should not be in the insurance market. They need to be in a separate program.

fact. Any self-employed person pays the full 15% when it comes to FICA Tax.

These were the same people whose individual plans were canceled because the plans didn’t measure up under the law. About 7 million people.

fact. Workplace premiums for family plans jumped 9.4% the year after ObamaCare became law.

So for the repub plan to work, IMO, it would have to lower premiums, increase choice and competition, create jobs, and cut the deficit. And it won't happen with the mandates in place.

Just repeal the ACA.

Just repeal the ACA.

If there is an actual plan out there that isn't going to end up with healthcare insurance lobbyists buying off elected representatives - where the insurance end of it dwarfs the care end of it - and we have a wide variety of actual choices rather than seeing large health insurance companies merging together to make even larger ones, that to me is something worth looking into.

Workplace premiums for family plans have been increasing for nearly 40 years - long before anybody even heard of Obama - so the idea of going back to a pre-Obama means of insurance and assuming that will stop premiums from rising is a fantasy: part of the reason Obamacare is actually called the Affordable Care Act had much to do with the fact that premiums had been rising beyond the reach of those who weren't able to get workplace sponsored coverage.

Personally, I'd like to see employers across the board get out of the healthcare insurance benefits business. It'd be good for working class people to not feel tied to jobs that underpay solely because said jobs offer health insurance.

If a another plan comes along that is better than the ACA for the lower-working class and poor, it is a plan that is worth looking long and hard at: I wouldn't care who proposed it. Even Trump.

What is currently being offered to replace the ACA is in no way better than what Obamacare - flawed as it is (as are most human undertakings) - is providing for those who are on it.

Yeah, well, it won't backfire for any of those in the picture.

They can either afford to pay their own medical costs out of their pocket, or they have the ultra-sweet Congressional healthcare package: they won't have to personally live with the consequences of what they are trying to do, nor will they accept responsibility for any of the results if and when it goes to shit ("Obamacare ruined everything to the point where nothing we could do with this bill was able to fix it").

A disastrous bill sponsored and concocted by the Zionist Cabal to rid America of its poor once and for all. Trump is owned by the Jews who put the ill on him and his family and this allows for the Jewish-owned Trump to indulge himself in an apparently inexhaustible succession of the overthrow of the American government. Now, I'm not sure but somehow former Byrds guitarist Rodger McGuinn is involved

https://www.ticketstaronline.com/assets/img/ByrdsRogerMcGuinnWeb1-d29eee5b04.jpg

I'm working on the Jew-media plan through McGuinn that his influence may be distinctly traced, both the to periodical and daily press briefings of the Sphincter boy (also under Jew control do to electronic probes surgically place up in his asshole). There is no doubt that the Jews are stirring up a storm of some kind in order to introduce an new era of historical composition.

So stay tuned. I'll have more "information" when available.

Jew media. Jimmy Jew Dore does not have many friends. He sees no blue sky beyond the smoke. He is a man of fire and darkness. His words are grim and shits all over those who toil which is the hallmark of any Jew media. He is scarcely human, the red-leaping flicker in the gleam of a dying ember.

Not there with you on the Zionist Cabal part, but it does feel like the health insurance bill and the proposed tax bill are really a sort of hopped-up on steroids extension of this elite mindset that exists solely to ensure those who have the bulk of the money hold onto more and more of it. Not with even so much as a pretense of them holding onto more and more of it so they can help others less affluent, but just a "fuck the poor: they have no power, no net worth and no real use other than being a servant class" mentality.

To be sure, that strain of elite deviance has historically always been there, but what's happening so is just so overt it's really laughable to see any of the elites trying to put a humane face on any of it.

jerksmear. got that that dickdherp?

This whole argument is moot and highly banal.

In 1979, there were 252 insurance mandate laws on the books in the US. By 2009, the number was up to 2,133.

FORD and his ilk of socialists are on their way. It's easy to see through. Their purpose is to increase the number of benefit mandates and in doing so will nationalize coverage.

I don't have a platform anymore to stand on with either party.

A real asshole once said: Millions of Americans are just a pink slip away from losing their health insurance, and one serious illness away from losing all their savings.

Same assholes different year; different party.

There's plenty of room for reform with regard to insurance coverage. Just remember that the US system of health care is really good. And it is a health care system. Another fact lost on a lot of people.

Now 27% of under 65s in the US have pre-existing conditions that stops them getting insurance without Obamacare.

You have to think that since most new jobs these days are people working for themselves at least without benefits and then you add on big data mining by insurance companies where they can check your whole lifestyle this is only going to get worse.

Didn't know you used the VA, nick.

I have private insurance. And I have a severe pre-existing condition.

And I get the privilege of paying for useless, penniless, future democrat illegals that can't afford a bandaid. I would prefer to have that cash go to the vets at the VA.

Is that a public option?
