So you advocate police not only murdering unarmed black men who are in their own back yard, but also deliberately attempting to murder elderly women who protest their terrorism.

I'd say that from the clip jacksmar posted at the top of the thread, it's too edited for me to really get much of a sense out of what happened outside of the police vehicle making contact with the protestor.

All I saw was a brief snippet of what I assume was a different police vehicle ordering protestors to back away from the police vehicles, then a brief snippet of what I assume was a different police vehicle making contact at a travelling speed of what looks to be around 20 mph with a protestor. I can't tell from the clip if the protestor was facing the vehicle when the impact happened, facing away from the vehicle when it happened, was partially standing in front of the vehicle when it was moving or if the contact was intentional on the part of the officer.

If somebody from that posted clip can definitively tell me the answers to any of that, let me know. Not being a smartass: I just can't tell what prefaced the contact. Or if the police vehicle stopped after the contact and the officer got out to see what happened.

Yup. Who knows what really went on. People tend to jump the conclusions. There are good cops and bad cops. What people have to realize is it's harder to be a cop now than ever. It's more political, it's more dangerous. I'm friends with a former K9 officer who quit because he felt if he stayed in longer he might get killed. He was in several shootouts and actually has permanent hearing damage from one. He has constant ringing in his ears. My main concern is we will have the good cops decide it's no longer for them and they will do something else that's safer. That will leave us with some sad cases as law enforcement officers. Also there are organized groups that just want to set off a shit storm. They want everyone fighting everyone. We need to be careful not to buy into it and just stay calm and don't jump the conclusions. Every side has it's assholes and every side has it's decent people.

The clip at 26 seconds seems to show the protester deliberately stepping in front of the car to make it stop and the cop probably deliberately running her over so they can get away from the crowd surrounding the car.

Yup.

That's not a meme it's a statement, I notice the word 'all' there to straw dog the argument.

There is an old argument in the US that if you make guns illegal only criminals will have guns. Here is an add-on to that, if you also made drugs legal you wouldn't have many criminals.

That's certainly a possibility I considered when looking at the clip, at least in terms of the protestor deliberately stepping in front of the car, but the clip picks up the collision when the contact was made so I can't really tell if the protestor was intentionally blocking the police vehicle or not, or just trying to get out of the way of the vehicle and zigged instead of zagging. Also from the clip, I can't imagine how the driver of the police vehicle COULDN'T have seen the protestor when the vehicle made contact...but I have no idea how dark it was there, or what the driver saw...or why the driver reacted that way in terms of deliberate intent or not vs. the driver just panicking.

I mean, I'm not being coy about the incident as depicted in the clip in order to take a side with the police OR the protestors. I just think it's disingenuous from merely looking at this particular clip to draw a conclusion about anything beyond the vehicle (obviously) hit a protestor.

Oh Bush has a hell of a scheme going. Make money off the drugs and then make money off the prisons the government sends the people busted for drugs to. He makes money on both sides. Hell Bill Clinton when he was governor of Arkansas was in on it because the drugs were being flown into Mena, Arkansas. In my opinion, Billy boy got the presidency as a thank you from Bush. See most people don't see the Clintons and the Bush family are two cheeks on the same butt.

Clinton comes across as a kind of lovable slightly naughty uncle these days but yeah these people are ruthless.

You don't often hear these days about the time that he killed a mentally subnormal lobotomised man to help get elected president. I know many people are pro capital punishment but this was cynical as fuck and in 2002 the Supreme Court stopped it happening again even in the most Republican state.

How the execution of a mentally ill black man delivered Bill Clinton into the Oval Office.

All this protesting is as fake as a $3 bill. Somebody cooked up Black Lives Matter and all this white privilege shit to get attention and to hopefully create some backlash from the other side. That's why they started attacking confederate monuments and that sort of thing. Hoping to trigger a response. It hasn't worked but it just goes to show you some schmucks with a lot of money are playing fun and games. So yeah you are going to hear lots of noise on college campuses and in areas controlled by community organizers but not see much anywhere else. Is it going to change anything? Not really. Not even worth paying attention to.

And the execution was something that went virtually uncommented upon at the time during the primaries by mainstream print and tv media.

Clinton was determined to make the voting public know he was tough on crime. He wasn't going to be painted as another Michael Dukakis. The prison staff on the whole were disgusted, because the prisoner was basically in what would be akin to a lobotomized state and had no idea what was going on when the execution was taking place.

Clinton was pretty feckless when it came to foreign affairs and was pretty feckless when it came to making good the liberal programs he spoke about in his campaigns. When it came to his professional advancement and personal pleasures, he WAS ruthless. Look at not only how he treated his wife, but how he treated the women he cheated on his wife with after the affairs were over: tells you a lot about the guy. Lovable really isn't the word, and naughty is too trivial a description.
