I was never a big wrestling fan but I always admired Andre's drinking, he was the greatest.

I watched the documentary the other night. Thought it was kind of moving. Especially the last few minutes of montage footage. Particularly the clip showing him hanging off the side of the cage/ring. Truely looked like a monster!
I was an Andre fan only because i got to shake his GIGANTIC HAND when I was in 7th or 8th grade when they had a show in our local armory.
Shortly before that he played Bigfoot on the Six Million Dollar Man. So yeah, I was psyched!

That era of pro wrestling has such a colorful cast of characters you had to watch some of it.

I loved the 6 million dollar man when I was a kid so much so I wondered a while back why it was never repeated on TV and looked it up.

It's really not aged well it looks ridiculous now. :D

It was on last fall on one of our cable channels. I basically watched it to relive that intro & theme music! "Steve Austin, a man barely alive. We can rebuild him - we have the technology"
I then proceeded to run around my living room in slow motion.

BTW. Not many of the 70's shows aged that well.

I never understood the slow motion thing because in the title credits they showed him running fast by speeding up the tape and it always looked really cool.

I guess everything else in shot would have to move super slowly before they speeded it up and they couldn't get that to work.
