Well, getting an actual Democrat in West Virginia - as opposed to a coal industry whore who votes with Cheeto 99.99999% the time- would have been a good gain. And a Democratic governor in Ohio makes it less likely that it gets Diebolded again in 2020. So those have some "big picture" consequences.

I had a repeating realization yesterday... It really doesn't matter which party one is affiliated at any level of government. All these candidates make bold claims of supporting this or if elected, I will do this or that... Rarely do any of the promises align with much of what really gets accomplished and done governing!!

The bottom line is when elected most candidates will join whichever pack they claim to be a part of and follow the herd which ever way the trends dictate.

The surprising thing in all this is the total amount of money completely wasted that benefits so few nor produces any significant results. Why people continue to contribute money for nothing just baffles the hell out of me.

They probably would have been better off assembling a band from all the talented kids who are all over You Tube. They would have a band as short as those guys but with some actual talent.
