He's almost 82... I think that's a bit beyond a typical retirement age.

It's obvious. He's in "cohoots" with the Moon Nazis - that's where Hillary's emails are and the F A T Orange Blunder knew it.

Who gives a fuck? America is ruined past repair. Kill yourselves now while you still can.

So the orange imbecile goes with the former Ken $tarr flunkie who has been on the record AGAINST investigations of sitting presidents (probably after witnessing the Blowjobgate clusterfuck from the inside).

Religious reich will hate this pick because they were hoping for the dominionazi bitch who literally called herself a "handmaid".

Everyone else will hate this fool because it's obviously a pre-emptive strike against ImOrangement.

That's going to be when you can collect your social security after the government bumps the age of being elibible up to keep it from going broke. Second thought they will bump the age up to 100.

Justice Kennedy's son is head of Deutsche Bank gave not only the Trump family but the Kutchner family hundreds of millions of dollars of loans. So Kennedy's retirement was all set up. What you got to understand about Trump or "Cheeto" is he is a master of manipulating people and he sets things up way in advance. This whole Supreme Court move was orchestrated and calculated by Trump. Not exactly how a imbecile operates.

This is ALL the fault of the Bernie brat.

Actually it's the fault of the BCE for employing this little dweeb in the first place. Naturally, the Chimp loves the tool....

Now to keep this in context, just remember that Chimpy's idea of "faithfully applying the Constitution" includes his daddy's 5 friends installing him as pResident.

I can go along with a lot of this to outline general motivations and character but I just do not accept that Trump is a super smart Machiavellian genius. For a start he makes far far too many blunders and secondly if he is then his acting as a pretty dumb self obsessed blowhard on The Apprentice was the greatest performance of all time.

Also when quoting his books like scripture, it's well known that he didn't write a word of them, all done by ghost writers probably based on a couple of interviews.

All this deep reading of him reminds me of people who go on about how their dog knows every word they are saying.

When did being a friend of the least popular president since Nixon become a good thing?

Bono and Blair are also friends of Bush for fuck sake...

Most Republicans would still consider Chimpy's endorsement a "good" thing. And he's also a previous employer, so apparently Kavanaugh can use that as a work reference.

Part of that big club George Carlin used to talk about. So is Blair, of course. I don't think Bono actually is, but he's not above being nice to them in order to get some money and/or legislation to one of his charity projects in Africa

The point I was making is Trump was getting loans from Justice Kennedy's son and it can be inferred that Kennedy's retirement is not just coincidence.

Trump wants to get the new Supreme Court Justice confirmed before the election in November so the Democrats can't use the possibility of Roe vs Wade being repealed by a conservative judge to scare the pro choice swing voters from voting Republican. So Trump had to pick someone the establishment Republicans would have no problem endorsing and liberal enough not to scare the pro choice swing voters.

I’ve heard the argument that getting rid of Roe v Wade would be bad tactics for the Republican Party any as it keeps the religious nuts motivated - best to chip away at it slowly.

2018 it really is crazy stuff - even Ireland, a place where rubbers were illegal 25 years ago FFS have just reformed their abortion law.

Only America and some Muslim countries are going the other direction.

I doubt the Republicans would repeal Roe vs Wade but it's a fear mongering rally point the Democrats can effectively use during an election to sway swing voters. As far as religion in the US that too is waining. The younger generations are leaving the church's. Even the Mormons and Baptists are barely seeing any growth in the US. So it's changing here as well.
