WHO IS AMERICA? is a half-hour series from comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, in his return to series television for the first time in more than a decade in the genre he created first in Da Ali G Show. In the works over the past year, WHO IS AMERICA? explores the diverse individuals who populate our unique nation, and features Baron Cohen experimenting in the playground of 2018 America. It's like reality TV. I'm sure most of the people really aren't fooled but they are the type of people who such publicity keeps their image out there. The saying there is no such thing as bad publicity has some merit. It's all how you spin that publicity.

Well the debut of Who is America tanked. For one I think the name of the show pretty much makes people think it's going to be another political show. People are tired of politics; especially in America. People love to see good gags but they hate politics. I think that right there is what made people go ZZZZZZzzzzz and stick with watching porn or YouTube.

Sacha Baron Cohen returned with damning new series Who Is America? with one of his subjects coming off far better than many others.



One sequence saw the Borat funnyman target art expert Christy Cones posing as a reformed criminal named Rick Sherman who discovered his flair for art behind bars using his own bodily fluids. Cones listened on as her interviewer reeled off some pretty full-on past experiences with viewers praising her gracefulness and willingness to placate his wishes (after presenting a paintbrush made using the stray pubic hairs of famous artists, Cones offers her own up).

Cones, a fine art consultant at Orange Country's Coast Gallery, had a few words for Cohen after discovering that not only was she duped back in May 2017 but that the Ali G star was the man under the mask - soGallery owner tricked on Who Is America? has a special message for Sacha Baron Cohenmething she only learned while speaking to The Washington Post ahead of the episode.

In the interview, Cones - who admitted she was both “mad and amused” by his actions - recalled thinking Sherman “was a psychological time bomb.” She added: I was like, this guy could blow up, so I should just be as respectful as I can.“

To the shock of the journalist, Cones claims that she believes the paintings presented to her had genuinely been drawn using the actor's faeces.

“When he handed me the painting he said he made in prison with his own waste, it stunk. And then when he went into the bathroom to paint and came out with the portrait of me, it also stunk. I really do think he went in there and painted it from scratch... And that was Sacha Baron Cohen? What a nut case. God bless him.”

She maintained she has no regrets over her appearance on the show which she originally believed to be for a British reality TV programme.

“Am I supposed to be upset? That’s okay. I don’t care. Sacha Baron Cohen doesn’t impress me... I want a follow-up interview. Let’s put it to the test — let’s see the real guy, without the charade. He got this interview to help boost his ratings and his ego. I spent years studying art, in this country, in Greece. So let’s see what he really has. If he wants to play intellectual and butt heads, then come down, and let’s do that for real.”

Cones said she still finds the ideas presented by Sherman “fascinating.”

Georgia state representative Jason Spencer screamed racial slurs and bared his butt in an attempt to "fight off terrorists" on the Sacha Baron Cohen show "Who is America?"
Spencer was told it would be part of an anti-terrorist training program.
Fellow lawmakers are asking for his resignation.

On Sunday night's episode of Sacha Baron Cohen's Showtime show "Who is America?," Cohen presented Jason Spencer, a Republican state representative from Georgia, with a chance to humiliate himself — and he took it.

Cohen donned the disguise of Israeli anti-terror expert Colonel Erran Morad. He hosted Spencer on an on-camera training program with the presumed goal of learning to fight off terrorists.

Part of the program involved yelling to attract attention from terrorists, to which Spencer yelled "n-----!" It also featured a strategy to scare of ISIS members by trying to touch them with one's buttocks, with the apparent goal of turning them into "a homosexual." Spencer gamely bared himself and ran backwards at Cohen with his butt.

Morad's alleged program also involved distinguishing terrorists from non-terrorists by taking upskirt shots of people with a selfie stick. Spencer did that as well, and performed a racist caricature of a Chinese tourist as part of his technique.

In the episode's post-credit sequence, Spencer delivers a threat to ISIS and calls them "sand n-----s."

Spencer is finishing his fourth and presumably final term in Georgia's state legislature. He lost his primary contest in May. Since the episode aired, fellow lawmakers have asked him to resign.

His record as a lawmaker also made him an obvious target for Cohen's show, which has so far targeted several politicians and activists, like Dick Cheney and Philip Van Cleave. Spencer sponsored — then withdrew — a bill that would have banned burqas, and told a black attorney she may "go missing" in a river for protesting Confederate statues.

"They exploited my state of mind for profit and notoriety," Spencer said. "It is clear the makers of this film intended to deceive me in an attempt to undermine the American conservative political movement."

Spencer also said that the show is the reason why President Trump was elected, alluding, presumably, to Trump's war on "fake news."

"This media company's deceptive and fraudulent behavior is exactly why President Donald Trump was elected," he said.
