Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former lawyer, will tell Congress on Wednesday that Trump knew his longtime adviser Roger Stone was communicating with WikiLeaks about publishing stolen emails from the Democratic National Committee, according to the text of his prepared opening statement.

In the prepared remarks, Cohen calls Trump a “racist,” a “conman” and a “cheat” and also levels accusations that the president personally signed a check to cover “hush money payments” to keep quiet an affair with adult-film actress Stormy Daniels. Cohen says Trump never directly told him to lie to Congress about his business dealings in Moscow, but claims the president implicitly encouraged him to do so.

A person familiar with the testimony said the document, which was first published by Politico, reflects what Cohen submitted as his prepared remarks, though they could change somewhat when he delivers them Wednesday to the House Oversight Committee.

“He is a racist. He is a conman. He is a cheat,” the remarks say, referring to Trump. “He was a presidential candidate who knew that Roger Stone was talking with Julian Assange about a WikiLeaks drop of Democratic National Committee emails.”

In response to the testimony, WikiLeaks tweeted that the group “had already publicly announced its pending publications and has always denied speaking to Roger Stone.”

Trump, who is in Vietnam for his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, didn’t respond when a reporter asked him about Cohen as he sat next to Un. Earlier on Wednesday morning, Trump sent a tweet that accused Cohen of lying.

Now Mark Meadows

Meadows's former chief of staff, Kenny West, resigned after female employees accused him of inappropriate behavior, but remained on the House payroll in violation of House rules, according to an independent investigation by the House Ethics Committee. Meadows paid West $58,125 from April 2015 to August 2015 even though he was no longer working in Meadows's office. There is "substantial reason to believe that Representative Meadows retained an employee who did not perform duties commensurate with the compensation the employee received and certified that the compensation met applicable House standards, in violation of House rules and standards of conduct," the OCE report said.

In October 2014, a group of employees reported to the deputy chief of staff "they were uncomfortable with Mr. West's inappropriate behavior towards them," the OCE report said. Meadows asked the chief of staff of Representative Trey Gowdy to interview the employees, and Meadows eventually limited or prohibit West's presence in Meadows's offices, the report said.[40]

A former Meadows aide testified to the House Ethics Committee that top staff, and perhaps even Meadows himself, were made aware of West's behavior far earlier than has been publicly reported, according to the Daily Beast. West denies he sexually harassed anyone.

In November 2018 Meadows was fined over $40,000 by the House Committee on Ethics after the panel concluded he “did not do enough to address” sexual harassment allegations against West. The committee concluded Meadows took “immediate and appropriate steps” by separating West from female staffers and requesting an investigation, but noted that West retained his title and “apparent authority over staff” during this period. “Representative Meadows could have and should have done more to ensure that his congressional office was free from discrimination or the perception of discrimination,” the committee wrote in the report. The committee fined Meadows $40,625 “for Mr. West’s salary that was not commensurate with his work.” The Daily Beast previously reported that a former aide told the committee Meadows and other top staff members in his office were aware of West’s behavior before it was publicly reported.[41]

To bad Cohen couldn't pin ANYTHING illegal on POTUS and actually confirmed "No Collusion". Sad.

No, what Cohen said was that "No Collusion" was the message that Cheeto wanted him to put out. And then Cohen told the Republicans on the committee that they were doing now, exactly what he had done for 10 years: Covering up the crimes of an Orange Imbecile.

And then the Republicans had to take a sudden 15 minute break.... just like they did when they were getting their asses kicked in the Rapey Brett hearings. At least this time, they didn't have a proxy asking all their questions for them.

No, they asked him if there was collusion and he said he was not aware of any collusion because he wasn't involved in the campaign.

"Questions have been raised about whether I know of direct evidence that Mr. Trump or his campaign colluded with Russia. I do not. I want to be clear," Cohen said during his opening statement. "But, I have my suspicions."

Any more questions I can help you with?

Trump’s Lawyer Went to the Worst Law School in America

Michael Cohen’s alma mater has long been a punchline in the legal world.

By PHILIP SHENON May 04, 2018

The roster of the school’s graduates includes federal and state judges, two members of Congress and several high-profile courtroom lawyers and business leaders.

But whatever the accomplishments of its most distinguished alumni, the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, once the largest law school in the U.S., does not have a reputation to match. And it never has.

Cooley may be, by some measurements, the worst law school in America. And its standing has not been enhanced by a flood of publicity about the quality of the legal work of its best known and, increasingly, most notorious alum: Michael D. Cohen, class of 1991, President Trump’s longtime personal lawyer and the target of a federal criminal investigation in New York that has clearly rattled Trump.

The school is sensitive to the headlines: “In light of the current publicity about Mr. Michael Cohen, one of our graduates, it is disappointing to see all the gratuitous negative comments about our law school from people who know nothing about us,” the school’s general counsel, James Robb, said in an impassioned written statement to Politico. “What I am seeing is incivility and bullying by people who truly know little about legal education—and especially about our fine law school.”

Bullies, however, are not responsible for the troubling statistics that Cooley discloses to applicants on its own website.

The school accepts almost anyone who can pay the $51,000 annual tuition bill—more than 85 percent of its applicants were admitted last year. Fewer than half of its graduates manage to pass a bar exam on their first try; among all law school graduates in the country, about 75 percent pass on their first attempt. The 46-year-old school has had to go to court over the past year to fight for its accreditation from the American Bar Association, which found that the school was out of compliance on basic admission standards for a time. Last year, the National Advisory Council for Law School Transparency gave Cooley a ranking no school wants: It was No. 1 on the group’s list of “the 10 least selective law schools in the country.”

Jared Kushner quietly meets with Saudi Crown prince amid day of chaos on Capitol Hill
President's son-in-law takes quiet international trip as his former lawyer details his crimes on Capitol Hill

Jared Kushner quietly met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman during a foreign trip featuring meetings with top Middle East officials that is sure to raise controversy in the United States.

The White House released a readout of the previously non-disclosed meeting between the Crown Prince and Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser just minutes after the president’s former attorney and “fixer” began a highly-anticipated public testimony before the House Oversight Committee.

News outlets across the country were covering the developments on Capitol Hill in real-time as one of Mr Trump’s closest former confidants detailed his alleged criminal conduct, racism and lies from the 2016 presidential election and after assuming the Oval Office.

Mr Kushner was meeting with the 33-year-old Saudi Arabian leader for the first time since the Crown Prince was alleged by the international community and global intelligence experts to have ordered the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist killed inside a Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Mr Khashoggi was a notable journalist who frequently wrote reports critical of the Saudi government.

So you have a crooked lawyer charged with crimes that have nothing to do with Donald Trump so of course he's going to say things trying to get his charges reduced. It's an old game. Fish for the crook and then offer a deal to get him to testify in court against someone the fix wants to take down. People will buy Trump may not be the most honest person in the world but Trump has been a public figure for decades and calling him a racist is just stupid. Nobody is going to buy that one because Trump never said anything racist or acted racist in his very public life before entering a run for the presidency. So really not much is going to come from this thing. It's a nothing burger. The senate judiciary committee already cleared Trump on the collusion charges and they have had all the access to the same information the Justice Department has. The whole thing has been silly.

So in 2020 10% of the voting public will decide who the next president is going to be. 45% of the voting public will vote Trump. 45% will vote for whoever the Democrats run against him. So really it's business as usual. Trump will finish this term out and may win the next one. It's all what the 10% decide they want.

The racist accusation is uncorroborated and from an unreliable witness. I think Trump is racist based on other things but it's irrelevant with the Cohen thing.

Trump may not be the most honest person is a big understatement and its sad that 40% (not 45%) of Americans are fine with that.

Trumps crooked personal lawyer ('I hire the best people') like him is a proven liar so to believe him you need evidence. Those checks sound like evidence.

People didn’t vote for Donald Trump because he was a saint. New York City is a seedy place and you have to rub shoulders with seedy characters to get anything done there. Everyone knows that. People voted for Trump to A). Have an outsider stir the pot and/or B). They liked what he was running on. So about half the voting public are going to hate him and half are going to give him a shot.

People today accuse everyone and everything they don’t like as being racist. That word is used so much it’s really become a joke.

So we are back to Russian collusion. The Senate judiciary committee said they couldn’t find any. So now it’s all about Donald Trump being a conman and a racist. Well most our politicians are professional bullshitters. The racist claims mean nothing unless you have evidence of Trump calling someone a ****** or something.

Plus this whole investigation has gone on too long and only the people who hate Trump even care what Cohen has to say. Most people are more interested in seeing if we really are going to finally end the Korean War for good.
