That was the whole point. Zakk was chosen in the first place because his look and his playing were similar to Randy Rhoads

those first two pics do look like randy rhoads dont they?.....i remember when zakk first joined ozzy....and everyone was saying the same thing...but ozzy came out and said "hes not even a fan of randys playing....hes really into gary moore".....yeah right!....i dont every recall gary moore looking like that....having said that though....would anybody want to look like gary?

yeah i heard he was into them too.....but look in that second photo...white les paul...polka dot neck tie....and guitar strap...maybe ozzy covered up that fact his new guitarist was a rhoads freak cos he didnt want the fans to think he had hired a guy attempting to copy the late great guitarist...oh i dont know....just a thought!
