To answer your question, I cant see an easy way to do what you want...
Perhaps just be really unpopular ?? :p

Hang on.. That might make you get more PM's...

FUCK ?? I think you are out of luck..

You can disable email notifications, but thats about it
Perhaps if you add a person to your ignore list, you
wont see their PM's ?? Give that a try..

Yeah !! Sarge you are right, I can disable it.

I was looking at this question from the users perspective,
as in, can they do it themselves... I should have thought
to check the extra functions.. COOL !! :)

why the fuck would you want to disable private messaging? Makes no sense unless you have someone constantly bothering you but you can put them on your ignore list.

i wanted to disable it because i wasen't going to be on the boards for awhile (when i posted this) so when i was away someone wouldn't pm me and not get a response and think i was an idiot or something.

I'm getting conflicting information here. I was told that even if you put someone on ignore, they can still PM you.

Okay...I'm going to talk really slow...

1. Yes, I can disable PM...but if you put on ignore...you can still get PM's from that person...obviously Chell...if you got PM's from a person you put on ignore...that will answer your question yourself...

2. I can't disable a PM from a specific individual...however, there is a function you can use...it's called delete...just click it...

3. Wilbury...if you haven't gotten yours taken off...let me know...and I'll hook you up...

In all seriousness, I haven't sent CHELLE a single PM in ages. Then again, maybe she's not talking about me. But anyway, CHELLE, that's it. If someone (including me...LOL) sends you a PM, and you don't like that person, delete the fucking thing. You don't have to read it. And it's next to impossible to bomb someone's mailbox in this place with the 1-minute delay. It's not that big a deal.

Better not ask any more simple questions Chelle, it flusters the men.

Ive never been ignored in a PM, but if there was a big delay, I would just assume the person is busy, hasn't been online or just plainly doesn't want to talk to me. Don't worry aboot it Lucky Williard! ;)

No need to talk slow on my account. I'm not quite as stupid as you apparently think I am. And I haven't received any PMs from the one person I have on ignore. I was just wondering.

I ignore people's PMs sometimes. I get a morbid satisfaction out of it.

Oh yes, I do.

There are a few people whose PM's I don't usually reply to.

He has, and I responded to some of them...

Some I didn't on purpose, just because they were so silly and stupid...
