I kinda forgot about DLR Band for the last couple of years, so I just decided to put it on again tonight. You know it got better with time I think. It had a nice, refreshing old-school VH feel to it. No nonsense, just some straightforward rockers and that terrific acoustic centerpiece "Going Places." After listening to this I've fully realized that John Lowery is quite a talent and is wasting it on Marilyn Manson garbage.
Wow, I wish Dave would have done something of this caliber for the last album. People have bitched about this album for awhile, I remember someone calling it a bunch of unlistenable demos back before this site went down in 2002. Well I think most of us wish for this kind of music back. Yes I know that blues covers and Vegasy schtick is part of who Dave is, but I like Roth and Roll better :cool:
