I just noticed that Marillion have a new best of CD it's also called The Best of Both worlds. Unlike the VH version these guys seem to have the right idea. This is also a double CD but each disc is devoted to different periods so the first disc is from '82 to '88 and features their original singer Fish. The other disc features their current singer and more commercial material.

Van Halen should have done the same with BOBW, not that I would have bought it but it just makes more sense.

Yes, its so obvious.

Its what anybody with half a brain would do...
Ive not heard one positive remark about Van Hagar
mixing the tunes together..

Thats fucked. (But then again, so is Van Hagar !)

80`s Marillion: one of the best bands ever!

A unique sound.

I got that CD as it has a good compilation of the Fish era on CD 1.

Never really listened to CD 2.

Wierd coincidence.

Van Halen changed after Roth left. It was the same for Marillion when Fish left. I haven't heard hardly any of their new material, but what I have heard is nowhere near as good as with their original front man.

Another coincidence they share with Van Halen.
