Does anybody here know where I can download this 1983 recording, with EVH and Brian May? I still have it on vinyl, but don't have a record player anymore. Ed really kicks ass on these 3 songs (Starfleet, Let Me Out and Bluesbreaker).

I found the title track recently on the internet (maybe I can post it if you like) but it's poor quality.

BTW What's your opinions on this record?

Cheers

If you look closely, you see there's probably a Flying V neck bolted on his Frankenstrat.

I liked it because I really love bryan mays guitar (one of the most recognizable sounds in guitar history) and ed was the king of six strings and ten fingers back then (he could even play unchained) and you hear that they had some fun...

I plan on listening to the album Starfleet Project by the supergroup with Eddie & Brian May in it which was relesed in early 83 when I get the chance since I have heard it's similiar to the John Mayall's Bluesbreakers album with Eric Clapton back in 66.

I remember seeing that album in the record store and now all these years later I am kicking myself in the ass for not buying it. Never got to hear the songs either. And I agree Bryan May has a killer guitar sound, always been a fan of his work.

By the way:

Other band members were Phil Chen (bass, Rod Stewart band), Alan Gratzer (drums, REO Speedwagon) and Fred Mandel (I only know him as stage/session pianist with Queen). Queen drummer Roger Taylor did some background vocals. The recording was made at Record Plant I think.

My freinds got it on vinyl but that`s the only time I have ever seen it.

Ask Cato.

It seems like the sort of thing you could get in Japan.
