What's your Favorite song from the DIAMOND DAVE CD?

Let It All Hang Out!

I took my jeep over a mountain and had this song on while climbing over rocks in the hot sun and this song instantly became my favorite.

Yeah, thats my favorite too. Its a good song to start a night out - if the woman is havin a hard time gettin excited, I'll put that on and next thing I know she has a big smile on her face. Which in turn makes me a happier person. ;)

Very cool!

I like bad habits just as much...that song has the best sound or should I say energy off the record with Bissonette!

Thug Pop has such a cool guitar riff in it. John Lowery knows how to compliment roth's style.

Thug Pop, the only song on that album worth listening to. All the rest make me want to go to sleep.

Dave sounds good on that song...

Thug Pop's great, but it's got enough votes, so I'll go with "You Got The Blues, Not Me". Dave didn't write it, but you wouldn't know that if you didn't read the credits. Fits his attitude perfectly.

Easily "Shoo Bop" but "Stay While the Night is Young" is a close second.

Stay While The Night Is Young is the best song on the record.
It has a similar feeling that Secrets did from Diver Down, or Coconut Grove off Crazy from the Heat, and Hina from Skyscraper for that matter.

Shoo Bop is the second best. It is a hybrid of sorts combining elements of California Girls and Ladies Night in Buffalo.

Soul Kitchen is another great song!

Remove 'If 6 was 9', 'Ice Cream man 2' and the gay photos and it would be a pretty good album...;)

You could remove all you want from that album, but if you don't add anything it would still suck my balls.

It was a waste of my fucking money.

I agree with DLR7884. Thankfully I downloaded mp3's to preview it, and didn't waste my money on it. I still say that "Thug Pop" was slapped together in 10 minutes. It's just a ho-hum song that's following a formula, gang.

Cool thing about the Shoo Bop video--you can see the car that Roth mounted in hiz house that he describes in,"Crazy From The Heat."

Aree you fuckin' kidding me? DD is a GRATE album. Friend of mine, big fan of Hagar style VH - he says that VH with Sam is more 'musical' as in Sammy is a better vocalist than Dave, so albums recorded with that guy are more about music than flare, etc... (we all heard it at one time or another) - had to admit that DAVE was kickin' ass nowadays, cuntrary to EVH or Sam. Dave sounds like a million bucks in that album, the man just fookin' rules.

And my favorite is Bad Habits, by the way... my favorite VH/DLR song for a lot of months. Still is one of me favorites. Soul Kitchen kicks ass too, by the way.

Cheers! :bottle:

Diamond Dave was a waste of 15 bucks.

It's like an album full of karaoke performances.

I would....

Just not when he's butchering a classic Hendrix song.

Ah, come on... butchering? Doors is one of my all time favorite bands. And Dave ROCKED Soul Kitchen. But yeah, I know what you're saying...

But shit, we both'd be there front row. Take DD as a live album and get done with it, brother. If you're still squeamish, check the 'How many live albums were not messed with or whatever' and you'll love it.

Cheers! :bottle:

Frankly, I think an entire cover albulm is an stupid idea.
Granted, it was cool with the CFTH ep, but to make a full fledge albulm?

The only song I semi like was Shoo Bop...other than that...nothing.

But then again, I personally just hate covers in general.

I like Dave better when he sings original stuff...
Which is why I also hated diver down...but that's another story...

If only one, "Bad habits", definitly "Bad habits".
The last song on the album, the first one I replayed, and again, and again, and again.

I love this tune too. I think Dave's voice is perfect for it and I wish he would do more like this.
