View Full Version : Why are Republicans pro-Shrub and anti-Kerry?

Pink Spider
08-26-2004, 11:16 PM
Let's see:

-Both are pro-war.
-Both are pro-Patriot Act.
-Both are pro-Israeli government.
-Both support a wasteful offense spending to support the military industrial complex.
-Both are controlled by corporate America.
-Both support renewing the assault weapons ban.
-Both are against gay marriage. Kerry is for "civil unions".
-Both are pro NAFTA, which moves American jobs to Mexico. The Mexican economy was nearly destroyed by NAFTA.
-Both are for the WTO, IMF, FTAA and whatever else is coming.
-Both are for a bigger government.
-Both are spoiled rich guys that got their fortunes from family members.
-Both are for a failed drug war which has given us the largest prison population on earth, that YOU end up supporting with your tax dollar.

Etc, ect. Feel free to add anything I've left out.

Why are Republicans so anti-Kerry and Democrats so anti-Bush?

You're basically all on the same team bickering over pointless things like the Swift Boat crap, while the guy you hate believes in almost exactly the same things as the guy you support so much. You people make no sense.

Kerry's record will back up most everything on the list. He didn't suddenly come to these conclusions because he was running against Bush. If anything, he's probably pretending to be "liberal" on the one or two issues that they disagree about.

EAST COAST

thats the problem with kerry, he pretends, flip flops, or lies. KERRY is like a box of expired chocoates... ya never know what your gonna get. at least wth the current commander and chief he is straight. to all except to lefty liberal coocoos, we are better off with BUSH, people may personally have a problem with him, but on the issues, please. france, iran, syria, liberals want a change... get the picture?

Pink Spider

You Republicans don't get the fact that you're being led by a fascist and John Kerry is there as backup in case he fails. Forget all of those countries and focus on this one.

The constitution and your liberties are under attack from Democrat AND Republican politicians. Not Islamic extremists or crazy little Korean guys with stupid haircuts.

You are not better off with Bush. You would have to be blind not to see that you won't be well off with either of them in office.

Imperialism, shredding the constitution and outsourcing your jobs are not conservative values. If we're talking about liberalism in the classic sense, they are not the values of liberals either. Most any liberal or conservative that doesn't belong to the major parties would agree with this.

Big Train

Pink, I was all into listening to you, until you go into "You republicans don't get the fact". Because I disagree with you doesn't mean I "Don't get it". It's a very arrogant assumption.

Pink Spider
08-27-2004, 02:17 PM
I was making that statement to Republicans in general. For the most part they don't get it, just like the Democrats. They don't bother to look too deeply into the issues that their candidates support. There's no arrogance there, just an observation. A correct observation. ;)

Hey Pink, what are you a communist? You say "imperialism"???? I agree that it sucks that people in India will do our work for $50 a week, but what are you gonna do? what' the alternative? You have to adapt and not get suicidal if you cant drive a new car every three years. I love how all you lefties throw around crap like "Fascism"... If this country was anything like you say, you spoiled upper class commie rich kids would be rotting in a cell, not posting on the web before you go out for cocktails and whine about Bush!

"Spoiled upper class commie rich kids"

...and so you deduced this from what?

The reason I'm still here is that free speech is still a right. Even for someone that has nothing to say, like you for instance.

Thanks for playing.

That's she, dumkopf.

Second, I'm more libertarian than I am socialist. Apparently you have no clear concept of what socialism is.

Keep looking for reds and have fun at your RepubliNAZI rallies.

This thread was supposed to be about Bush/Kerry's stance on the ISSUES, their similarities and their voting records. If you want to talk about Kerry's military service or any other pointless scandal that I really care nothing at all about, there are hundreds of those type of threads. Pick one.

You are a socialist and a coward. Why are you so ashamed? Have some balls- be honest.... A liberterian would never make light of the Holocaust by making asinine comparisons between Republicans and Nazis. No, you are a typical modern day DEM/Commie enjoying the fruits of the sytem you wish to destroy BTW, I am no republican- I am a JFK/FDR Democrat- Remember those guys? You would be calling them Nazis if they were around today.

Pink Spider

The corporatists of today are driven by the some of the same industries and financial institutions that drove the Nazis. To not remember what led up to and caused the holocaust is even more a slap in the face.

I guess you're a DemoNAZI then. My mistake.

I like a lot of the third party and indy candidates but the one I agree with most is Nader.

At this point, I would choose a member of the Libertarian party over a Democrat. The Dems are beyond redemption.

First of all, you're statement was way oversimplified...

Having said that, I don't believe the Nazi's were "driven" by financial institutions or industries...

They were driven by their agenda...

Well, they certainly helped.

GE, General Motors, Ford, DuPont, Dow, Standard Oil (Exxon), Union Bank, Chase Manhattan were a few among others that helped the Nazi regime.

A few of these keep profiting from wars like the one in Iraq. Which leads me to believe that if they're not "driving", they're at least in the backseat giving directions.

So your high on the Nader glue...that's fine.

Nader is an interesting guy with some interesting ideas, but he is an extremist and that is what makes him ineffective. I have listened to his speeches and lectures over the last 5 or so years and the one thing that always gets me is his sense of "I'm fucking right". I really think Ralph would have NO problem with a dictatorship, under HIS control, where he could push his hyper liberal agenda. I think that is why so many are turned off by him.

I'm SURE you'll respond with 'well Bush or Kerry would love a dictatorship too", but their respective constituents would not, whereas I feel the Green Party would, if it were "Socially responsible etc..".

It takes money to implement such an agenda. That money was provided by Prescott Bush and his pals.

Well it's official, you are a communist. I suppose there's one good thing about communism though--at least they believe in only having ONE language throughout their empire. Perhaps the Green Party could aid in getting rid of "For English press 1, para español, oprime el número dos."

Lou, that was a ridiculous statement. I suppose they speak Russian in China? Or Chinese in Cuba? Shit, for that matter, China itself (still officially "Communist" ) has several different languages.

Lou
09-05-2004, 02:57 PM
Well I was thinking of the USSR were every country had to speak Russian. Yeah they spoke their own native languages but there's only one OFFICIAL language and the government wasn't doing any accomodating to people who couldn't master Russian.

And of course I wasn't talking about Communism worldwide, I was talking about each communist regime, which has ONE official language.

I love it. Pink gives excellent points, backs them up with facts, and all you have to come back with is.....YOU'RE A COMMIE?

Bravo Louie. Brav-o

I completely agree with her that our 2 choies are both sides of the same coin. One is no better / worse than the other. However, one in my opinion needs to pay for their mistakes.

You do NOT get to lead this country into a war you planned for BEFORE you were elected, have the first net loss job numbers in 75 years, experience the intelligence failures, the abu grahib scandals, and the mistake after mistake in Iraq, AND GET TO KEEP YOUR JOB.

The term "communist empire" could be interpreted many ways. Still, I doubt very much that the folks in the southern Chinese provinces are speaking Mandarin just because it's favored in Beijing.

Ralph Nader is an idiot. All I need to know about Ralph Nader is that when the LA Lakers beat the Sacramento Kings in Game 7 of the 2002 Western Conference championship, Ralph Nader wanted to sue the referees for "blowing the game."

THIS is the guy you want as president? I can't even imagein what he'd be doing if he were the president during 9/11.

Bravo this--Pink was comparing Democrats to Nazis. I'm no Democrat sympathizer but where are the facts there?

Honestly if I were a Holocaust survivor and I heard such liberal (pun intended) comparison to Nazis I'd be irate.

OK and that's fine, but I'm saying does the government endorse and accomodate those who can't speak Mandarin Chinese? Example, in Philadelphia if you're being sued, it's required that the complaint have the explanation that you're being sued in English and Spanish. That's the government making politically correct accommodations which just pisses me off to no end. Frankly if you're gonna do that in two languages why not just do it in every single language!

Take it up with Junior. He uses Spanish in his campaign speeches. AND he wants to leave the Mexican border wide open for illegal immigration, which would probably increase the need for translation.

Based on what? Nader is against corporate socialism and so am I. That hardly makes me a communist.

I believe in a free market. What I don't believe in is the corporate takeover of government and Nader is one of the few candidates who has a stance against this.

The fact that corporations buy their way to political power is accepted and that anyone who questions this is an "extremist", disturbs me.

A corporate takeover of government is the greatest threat to democracy we've ever faced.
