Alright, this album is all wrapped up and ready to go...

well...the tracks are all done...and the album is set for an April date...and all involved, as well as those that have heard the tracks, say this is a great album...

anyone else hear anything about this?...especially with Weiland smuggling shit into rehab...

what's the chance of Weiland OD'ing before this thing even comes out? and then who do they get to sing?

POJO_Risin

LMFAO...probably Axl...if anyone can find him...

POJO_Risin

I wanna hear this album though...I've heard a lot of good buzz about it...

if Axl doesn't have control, he won't do it.

POJO_Risin
01-01-2004, 02:42 AM
I wouldn't want him to anyways...

If Weiland doesn't do it...maybe they could get Staley...he's not doing anything...

shit...he's dead...

Maybe they could string them all up...

and change their name from Velvet Revolver...to...

"Weekend at Bernie's"

I hope it doesn't end up sucking like that Chris Cornell/Rage Against The Machine pile called Audioslave. I had high hopes for that album, and man was I disappointed when I listened to that all the way through the first time. It had a couple of decent tunes on it, but nothing to call home about, and most of the album is filler if you ask me.

Yeah, Axl is going to leave GNR and join Velvet Revolver.

Have to admit, Slither is one of the best new songs I've heard in several years....

Classic GNR rhythm, it's almost VH-like... As soon as you heard those riffs, you were like, "that's GNR"....

no, but if rose sang those songs and it was a GNR album it would have done better and been bigger. I can totally picture rose singing those songs.

the music is GNR and it is SW singing for GNR.its good stuff but we need GNR back!

Point taken.

Although...I think SW is a hell of a rock and roll singer. But, yes, Axl singing those songs whould feel "right".

I actually prefer VR. Maybe its because I hate AXL. Fuck, what a dick. Plus, I find his voice can get annoying at times, whereas Weiland's doesn't. I also prefer Weiland's stage act (like a mixture of Jagger/Iggy etc).

Aren't VR supposed to come out with a new album soon? This is what I hear, and I can't navigate their site because it's like a "Where's Waldo" picture.

Axl rules!

Scott weliand just doesnt do it for me, i like a few tracks of the first album, but i agree with u guys ^^ axl singing these songs would kick ass, and sure hes a dickhead but i still think hes one hell of a singer/frontman. Will buy the new velvet album though, and chinese democracy! cause its comin out this yr! no foolin'!

Back to the subject, Velvet Revolver is awesome. They're only problem is that they didn't get Izzy on board, they've just got this Kushner guy.

But it's still good even without Izzy.

Nah-Nanageddon is the best!!

"I did a shit on him!"

Actually, they are touring the UK at the moment-I'll be seeing them in Southport on Friday, and in Liverpool on the 8th April.

MATT, YES YES AND YES!

I would be pretty amazing if Izzy had joined them, but that Kushner chap fits in perfectly.
