  1. Bootleg Blogger Invites You To 'Imagine A Jump

David Lee Roth has run with Lennon before ó in a fan-made Frankenstein way ó back in 2008, when someone paired Van Halen's "Runnin' With the Devil" with The Beatles' "Drive My Car." But this time, when round spectacles meet unbuttoned satin shirts, the fruit plays more fluidly.

Lennon's quiet, thoughtful ivories slide from the speakers, quickly followed by Roth's drawn-out crow call. Roth's party-inspirational vocals shockingly serve as a perfect counterpart to Lennon's famous piano lines.

Still, one should be reminded of the last successful time Roth ran with the Beatles.

  2. Love song 11

Come with me to our reverie
Close your eyes and pursue the beckon
Alone and warm, all burrowed in bed
    You enter my core.
    Heady, hard, and cold
In our 2 dimensional play we have everything but sensation.
Pinch yourself in this place of free will,
Everything is as you make it, except, except
If we are in Godís realm,
    Give me hell with you.
    I want your flesh.
I want to feel the heat of your breath when you suckle my breast.
I want to throb from your touch.
Give me hell with you and leave our spirits to another time
I want, you want, let us wanton
Despoiling our core with the sensation of us
Till we never want to leave this dominion of conscious
Feel the throb of your flesh against mine
Let your sweat drip to my thigh.
Where is this in Godís realm?
Lock your stare to my groon oogen
Till you pierce my soul and I cast my glance away.
Oh dear God, I beg for our mercy.
Pity the corruption of our soul from your reward.

  4. Van Halen planning Australian tour?

"VAN HALEN dates are getting locked in. They'll be here with David Lee Roth," Triple M music reporter Nui Te Koha announced this morning on Triple M Melbourne's "Hot Breakfast", "VAN HALEN representatives were here with THE EAGLES during THE EAGLES tour in December."

He added: "They're recording a new album at the moment. [Guitarist] Eddie Van Halen says he doesn't want to do any shows until there is new material. And that new material should be out by August."

Former VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony told ABC News Radio that he's "looking forward" to hearing the band's new album, which is currently being recorded and will feature original singer David Lee Roth behind the mic for the first time in 27 years. Anthony said, "I'm looking forward to seeing what they'll do," adding that he has "no hard feelings" about being replaced by Eddie Van Halen's son, Wolfgang, in 2005.

Anthony said he has not spoken to anyone in VAN HALEN since the end of the band's 2004 tour, which featured a reunion with singer Sammy Hagar after an eight-year split.

Eddie Van Halen did not initially want Anthony playing on that trek either, but relented when Hagar insisted on it. The bass player was forced to take a pay cut and give up his rights to any future use of the VAN HALEN name. Anthony said, "The tour did not end as harmoniously as we would have liked it to."

VAN HALEN staged a successful reunion tour with Roth in 2007 and 2008, with rumors of a new album persisting since then. The group began recording last month with producer John Shanks.
