Van Halen plays the Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA. Autograph is the opening act.
MTV chooses Kurt Jefferis of Phoenixville, PA, as the winner of their Lost
Weekend with Van Halen contest. Jefferis, whose postcard was picked from
more than one million entries, passed on offers of clothing, cars, women, and
even $5,000 to take his best friend, Tom Winnick. 1,000 runners-up win a copy
of 1984.
