Edward wins Best Rock Guitarist in the 1997 Readers' Poll, as well as placing second as Most Valuable Player and Best Hard Rock/Metal Guitarist. Van Halen places second in best Guitar Albums of 1996 with Best of Volume 1 and the album takes third in the Hard Rock/Metal category; David Lee Roth/Van Halen war takes second place in the Biggest Disappointment, losing to Metallica's "Load."
2015
Van Halen's performance on The Jimmy Kimmel Show is broadcast for the second night. The show broadcasts "Hot For Teacher", "Eruption" and "You Really Got Me". The band's performances of "Unchained"" and "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" are later released online.
