Van Halen plays at Gazzarri's in West Hollywood, CA.
1979
Van Halen plays Cape Cod Coliseum in Hyannis, MA.
1981
Van Halen plays the Hollywood Sportatorium in Hollywood, FL. G-Force is the opening act.
1982
Van Halen plays Brown County Arena in Green Bay, WI. ATF is the opening act.
1984
Van Halen plays Donnington Park in Leicestershire, UK as part of the Monsters of Rock Tour. This show was the first Monsters of Rock show out of five the band played to wrap up the 1984 tour. This was also Van Halen’s first U.K. appearance since 1981. The bill for this day included Motley Crue, Y&T, Accept, Gary Moore, Ozzy Osborne, and AC/DC. This Van Halen show was filmed and the performance of "Hot for Teacher" was used by European MTV.

1986
David Lee Roth plays the Charlotte Coliseum in Charlotte, NC.
1988
Edward Van Halen performs at "Les Paul & Friends" - Broadcast on the Cinemax network on 8/18/88 from the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, NY, then released on video (A Vision 50197-3), Eddie Van Halen performed at this tribute to the father of the electric guitar. Other performers on the roster included Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, the Stray Cats' Brian Setzer, B.B. King, and Steve Miller, among others. Ed had been seen the night before at Fat Tuesday's watching Les perform. Fat Tuesday's is a club at which the Les Paul Trio used to perform every Monday night, but which has since been closed. During the tribute Ed performed "Cathedral" and an instrumental version of "Hot for Teacher" (swapping licks with Jan Hammer) and took part in the starstudded encore.
