Ever noticed nobody in Van Halen had a mullet until Sammy joined the band

I'm looking at old VH pictures and the band members have rocker hair until Sammy joined. Even Michael Anthony was mullet free until Sam came into the band.

Look at the 5150 era pictures and it's a fucking mullet fest.

It was the style of the day i guess. Even Joe Elliot went from cool rocker hair to mullet around that time to. So did Robert Plant and Ozzy was starting to get away from his Bark at the moon era one.

I also rmember seeing pictures of steven tyler around that time (done with mirrors) and he had one.

Dave kind of had one around skyscraper when he started combing his hair to the front to cover the bald areas. short at top but long at sides and back. sort of a semi mullet

Even more disconcerting were the clothes Van Halen started wearing. Roth and a lot of other groups did the brightly colored spandex deal in the mid-1980s too, but Van Hagar was always wearing pink and light-red shit.........made 'em look faggy from the get-go.

Alex might be one of the most retarded looking people in popculture, but when he was in a band with Dave he actually looked cool.

Here's the breakdown. . .

Al & Mike- impossible to look cool alone, or with anyone other than DLR

Ed- Might have looked cool on his own, but looks like a mullet-sporting-tool w/ Spam onstage with him. Deffinetely looks cool sharing stage with Dave

Dave- will always look cool, regardless of company (possible exception being Boston Pops)

true alex and mike both looked kinda goofy, Eddie looked cool with Dave standing next to him after Sam joined Eddie lost all coolness until a brief moment in 1996 and Sam well nope no cool there... sorry hagar lovers time to face the truth
