Now i'm not trying to say that david lee roth's songs with van halen arent the bands best. But to say that david lee roth IS, or that he made Van Halen is an absolute joke! Van HAlen became great because of eddies great guitar playing, he can just stand there and rock on his guitar for hours. Van Halen was not made by David Lee Roth gallopping around on stage, it was eddies great guitar solos and skill, and Alex's heart pounding drum solos. And let me also say that Sammy Hagar isnt all that bad. I saw van halen in concert on Jly 3rd, 2004 at the air canada centre in Toronto, and it fucking rocked! Many people were to say that it was just as good, and most likely BETTER, than any david lee roth concert.

Oh, go away butt breath. If you actually think good guitar playing makes a band sell millions of records, then go look up the sales stats for VH3. In fact, watch any of the magazine covers and T.V. interviews for Van Halen up to 1984, and 75% of them still feature Dave.

It's easy to forget, wth the caricature that he's become, that Dave was once, well, cool.
