Greetings,
As many of you may know RedHat Linux - the provider of RackNine's hosting operating systems - is ceasing support for it's operating system versions 7.3 and 9.0 within the next few months meaning future stability and security patches will not be made available. Rather than switch to the "beta" version of RedHat named fedora RackNine has licensed the new Enterprise Linux OS from RedHat and is currently migrating client sites to new servers configured with both this and the newest cPanel operating system (9.1.0).
What does this mean to you? Over the next day your sites will be moved from:
h10009.racknine.com
to:
h20003.racknine.com
As transparently and seamlessly as possible. We expect no downtime for your site or any of its components (including email) though new hosting documentation will need to be issued and some site features may require a password update to use.
We appreciate your patience in this matter. The new cPanel operating system is extremely powerful providing much more control over individual and reseller-based services. Servers are also receiving an update:
Quad (4x) Xeon 2.0Ghz processors
2GB RAM
Automated remote reboot system
This transfer should be completed no later than Tuesday, March 16th. If you find you are unable to access components of your website please give us a call on Monday at your earliest convenience so that we may step you through the new control panel system.
Sincerely,
